v-color Introduces 1+1 DDR5 Memory and RGB Filler Kits for AMD Ryzen Gaming Builds

v-color Technology Inc. has introduced a new DDR5 memory option aimed at gamers building modern PC platforms. The company’s new 1+1 DDR5 Memory and RGB Filler NON-DRAM Solution combines one working DDR5 memory module with a matching RGB filler module in the same package. The design allows users to install a single memory module while keeping the visual appearance of a dual-DIMM RGB setup inside the system.

The concept focuses on users moving to DDR5 platforms who want to control initial build costs while still planning for future upgrades. With the filler module occupying the second slot, systems can maintain a balanced RGB lighting layout even though only one DIMM is providing memory capacity. Users can later replace the filler with another memory module to expand system memory when required.

The 1+1 memory concept is particularly suited for AMD Ryzen gaming systems, including processors such as the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and newer models like the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D. These processors feature AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology, which increases the amount of on-chip L3 cache available to games and applications.

The large cache, including the 96 MB L3 cache in the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, can reduce the system’s reliance on main memory in many gaming workloads. This means that single-module DDR5 setups can still perform well in gaming scenarios while allowing builders to adopt the newer DDR5 platform.

Recent hardware testing has shown that gaming systems built around the Ryzen 7 7800X3D with DDR5 memory can deliver noticeably higher gaming performance in some titles compared with older DDR4-based systems. The gains come from both the updated memory standard and the cache-focused design of the processor.

To introduce the new concept, v-color is releasing two kits under its Manta DDR5 series. The v-color Manta DDR5 XSky will be offered in a 16 GB configuration, while the v-color Manta DDR5 XFinity will be available in a 24 GB configuration. Both kits operate at DDR5-6400 MT/s speeds.

Each package includes one DDR5 memory module paired with one RGB filler module. Builders can begin with the 1+1 setup, consisting of one active DIMM and one RGB filler, and later expand the configuration to 2+2 by adding another kit. This approach increases memory capacity while preserving a full four-slot RGB lighting layout on compatible motherboards.

According to the company, the RGB filler module is designed purely for visual symmetry and lighting synchronization. The module is protected under U.S. Patent No. US 10,285,273 B1 and does not provide additional memory capacity.

The v-color Manta DDR5 XSky and Manta DDR5 XFinity 1+1 kits will be available through the company’s official sales channels and selected retail partners worldwide. Online retailers such as Newegg are expected to carry the new memory kits. Availability and pricing may vary depending on region and distributor.
