MONTECH Launches SKY 3 Mid-Tower PC Case With Modular Cooling Layout and Horizon ARGB Lighting

MONTECH has announced the SKY 3, a new addition to its SKY series PC cases designed for modern gaming systems and upcoming hardware platforms. The new PC chassis focuses on a modular internal layout, improved airflow control, and a lighting design that runs across the front and side of the case.

The SKY 3 continues the design direction of previous models in the SKY lineup while adding a redesigned bottom chamber that allows builders to adjust airflow priorities. With support for back-connect motherboards and large graphics cards, the case is built to accommodate newer PC components that demand more space and cooling. The SKY 3 introduces an adaptive bottom chamber. Its internal layout allows users to swap the PSU compartment and the bottom fan bracket, letting them change airflow direction based on the system configuration.

In GPU Mode, intake fans are placed directly beneath the graphics card. This layout helps deliver airflow toward the GPU area, which can be useful in systems running high-end graphics hardware. The alternative CPU Mode directs airflow toward the motherboard area. This setup focuses on cooling VRMs, memory modules, and surrounding components while maintaining stable CPU temperatures during sustained workloads. The swappable structure allows builders to adjust airflow without modifying the rest of the system layout.

The SKY 3 also focuses on ease of installation. MONTECH includes a toolless drive bracket and a detachable top radiator bracket that can be removed entirely from the case. By removing the top bracket, builders can install radiators and fans outside the chassis before mounting the assembly back into place. This provides a flat working area and easier access when building systems with large radiators or multiple cooling fans.

The visual design of the SKY 3 centers around its horizon ARGB lighting system. A continuous LED strip runs from the front panel along the side edge of the case, forming a single lighting line that connects both surfaces. The lighting system uses wireless gold-plated pogo-pin connectors, which remove the need for visible cables inside the case. This design helps keep the interior clean while maintaining consistent lighting along the exterior panels.

MONTECH designed the SKY 3 with future hardware compatibility in mind. The case includes expanded clearance for larger graphics cards, including models expected in the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series lineup. The chassis is also compatible with back-connect motherboard designs, where connectors are located on the rear side of the board. Supported platforms include ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero, and Gigabyte Project STEALTH. These layouts allow cables to be routed behind the motherboard tray, reducing visible wiring in the main chamber.

The SKY 3 ships with MONTECH’s AX120 PRO and RX120 PRO fans pre-installed. The fans feature a dual-loop ARGB lighting design that includes illuminated fan blades and a hexagonal outer lighting ring. Along with the lighting effects, the included fans are designed to provide balanced airflow for both intake and exhaust positions, allowing the system to maintain stable temperatures without additional cooling upgrades.

MONTECH confirmed that the SKY 3 will be available starting March 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. The case will launch in two color options.

  • SKY 3 Black – $89.99
  • SKY 3 White – $89.99

With its modular cooling layout, integrated lighting system, and compatibility with newer motherboard and GPU designs, the SKY 3 expands MONTECH’s case lineup with a chassis aimed at modern gaming PC builds.
