French developer and publisher Don’t Nod has shared a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming third-person action-adventure, Aphelion, during the Convergence Showcase. The latest footage gives a deeper look at the challenges awaiting players on the uncharted planet Persephone. The trailer highlights anomalies, dangerous environments, and a mysterious facility that raises more questions than it answers. Players will encounter tense confrontations with the Nemesis, an unknown lifeform that poses a constant threat during exploration.
Aphelion puts players in the roles of ESA astronauts Ariane and Thomas, tasked with surveying Persephone and uncovering the truth behind a mysterious crash. The game emphasizes exploration and survival in a hostile world, combining a narrative-driven experience with high-stakes action. The trailer shows how players must navigate unfamiliar terrain, solve environmental puzzles, and manage resources while facing an alien threat that can appear at any moment. These elements work together to create a suspenseful experience that balances discovery with danger.

Aphelion is scheduled to launch in Spring 2026 on PC through Steam, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title and will be available on Game Pass from day one. Pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 retail edition are now open, giving fans early access to the game. The new trailer reinforces Don’t Nod’s focus on immersive storytelling, strategic exploration, and a richly detailed sci-fi environment, positioning Aphelion as a notable addition to next year’s gaming releases.
