MAXSUN has expanded its AMD motherboard lineup with the introduction of the iCraft X870M, a new model designed for AM5 systems built around upcoming high-performance Ryzen processors. The company has been active throughout the year with multiple launches across different segments, and the iCraft X870M arrives as one of its most advanced options for users planning to adopt next-generation AMD CPUs.

The board is built around a 16+2+1 phase power design using 50A Core Dr.MOS power stages. This configuration is developed to manage high current demands from flagship processors, including the Ryzen 9 9950X3D. MAXSUN states that the power system is capable of maintaining stable performance under loads above 300 watts. This level of power delivery is targeted at builders who require consistent operation during intensive workloads such as gaming, rendering, and large-scale computational tasks.

The board includes the MAXSUN VIEW display, an onboard interface designed to show key system information directly from the motherboard. It supports several display modes that users can switch between, making it useful for monitoring the system during installation, troubleshooting, or performance checks. By having this screen built into the board, it becomes easier to track hardware behavior without relying on external tools, giving users quick insight into what’s happening inside their system.

The iCraft X870M includes extensive support for high-speed expansion. It offers three PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots operating at full bandwidth, allowing users to install next-generation storage drives with improved read and write speeds. The board also features a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for graphics cards and four DDR5 slots capable of supporting memory speeds above 8400 MT/s when overclocked. These capabilities make the motherboard suitable for users planning to build long-term systems with room for upgrades.

Connectivity is another area where MAXSUN has focused its development efforts. The motherboard includes dual USB4 40 Gbps Type-C ports, providing faster external storage support and compatibility with modern docking hardware. Networking is handled through 5G LAN and Wi-Fi 7, both of which cater to low-latency applications such as online gaming, high-resolution streaming, and remote work. The audio section uses the Realtek ALC1220 codec, paired with five analog jacks and an S/PDIF output for improved device compatibility.

The board introduces an updated PTM UI BIOS, designed to offer a cleaner interface and faster loading times. This improvement aims to assist users in adjusting system settings, managing memory profiles, and configuring storage without extensive navigation.

A reinforced PCIe slot, multiple ARGB headers, and an all-black layout complete the build, offering durability and compatibility for various PC cases and cooling setups. MAXSUN has not yet announced pricing or release timelines, but with its feature set, the iCraft X870M positions itself as a key addition to the AM5 ecosystem for 2025.
