In Counter-Strike esports, Mathieu Herbaut, better known as ZywOo, remains one of the most successful players of his generation. The French sniper has claimed three Major championships and earned four HLTV Top 1 rankings during his career, achievements that place him among the most accomplished players in competitive Counter-Strike. His consistent performances at international tournaments have made his name closely associated with high-level FPS play.
Gaming peripherals brand Pulsar has now announced the second-generation version of its co-branded mouse developed in collaboration with ZywOo. Called The Chosen Mouse Gen 2, the new mouse will debut with a limited pink edition restricted to 5,000 units worldwide. The company confirmed that the first batch is scheduled to launch in early March, targeting both esports enthusiasts and collectors.

The Chosen Mouse Gen 2 introduces upgraded optical micro-switches designed to reduce the risk of double-click issues over time. Optical switches use light-based actuation instead of traditional metal contact mechanisms, which can improve durability and maintain consistent click registration during extended gaming sessions. For competitive Counter-Strike players, reliable click input is critical during high-pressure rounds where reaction time and precision often determine the outcome.
Another key upgrade is the inclusion of a new 8KHz wireless receiver. With an 8000Hz polling rate, the mouse is capable of transmitting position data to the system up to 8,000 times per second. Higher polling rates can reduce input delay and improve cursor tracking smoothness, particularly in fast-paced FPS titles where rapid flick shots and micro-adjustments are common.
While pricing details have not yet been disclosed, Pulsar’s decision to launch with a limited pink edition suggests strong confidence in ZywOo’s global fanbase. Additional color options or standard editions may follow after the initial release. As competitive gaming hardware continues to evolve, collaborations between elite players and peripheral manufacturers remain an important part of the esports ecosystem.
