Yunzii has introduced two new mechanical keyboards, the Wood 68 and Wood 84, adding a wood-based design to its growing portfolio. Both models use walnut frames, moving away from the usual plastic or aluminum builds seen in this segment, while keeping a familiar feature set aimed at enthusiasts and casual users alike.
The Wood 68 follows a 65% layout with 68 keys, offering a compact footprint suited for desk setups where space is limited. The Wood 84 shifts to a 75% layout, increasing the key count to 84 and adding dedicated function and navigation keys. Despite the layout difference, both keyboards share the same internal hardware and features.
Each model comes equipped with double-shot PBT keycaps in a Cherry profile and uses Yunzii Candy Linear switches out of the box. The keyboards support full hot-swapping, allowing users to replace switches without soldering. Compatibility includes both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, giving access to a wide range of options available in the market.
For connectivity, Yunzii includes tri-mode support across both models, with Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and wired USB-C modes available. A 4000 mAh battery powers each unit, with usage time varying based on lighting and connection settings. South-facing RGB lighting is integrated into the design, and N-key rollover ensures consistent input during extended typing or gaming sessions. Customization is handled through Yunzii’s software suite on Windows and macOS, along with an online configurator for basic adjustments.
In terms of dimensions, the Wood 68 measures 325.4 x 116.4 x 41.77 mm and weighs 767 grams. The Wood 84 retains the same width but is taller and heavier at 325.4 x 135.4 x 45.42 mm and 979 grams. Both keyboards use a tray mount structure with internal sound dampening to manage acoustics, while the walnut frame includes engraved details that set them apart visually.
