Xiaomi is expanding its Watch S5 lineup with a smaller 41mm model, giving users who prefer compact smartwatches a new option without dropping key features such as an AMOLED display, built-in GPS, and multi-platform support.
The new Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm arrives around six months after the original Watch S5, which uses a 46 mm case and a 1.48-inch AMOLED display. The larger model is already available globally, but Xiaomi has so far not confirmed whether the new 41mm version will receive the same international release.
The smaller smartwatch features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 466 × 466-pixel resolution. Xiaomi has also equipped the panel with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, giving the watch enough brightness for outdoor use and activities in strong sunlight.
GPS is built into the Watch S5 41mm, allowing it to record outdoor activities without depending entirely on a connected smartphone. The watch also supports both Android and iOS devices, making it compatible with a wide range of smartphones.
Power comes from a 590 mAh battery, which Xiaomi rates for up to 14 days of use between charges. Actual endurance will depend on usage, particularly when GPS, health monitoring, notifications, and other power-intensive features are enabled.
Xiaomi is offering the Watch S5 41mm in Black, Sea Salt Blue, and Taro Purple finishes. Pricing starts at CNY 1,299, equivalent to roughly $195, while the Ceramic White version costs CNY 1,499, or around $225.
The company has also introduced a larger Watch S5 Transparent Edition with a 47 mm case, giving the series different size and design choices. However, the 41 mm model is currently confirmed only for China. Xiaomi has not announced international pricing or a global release date yet.
The new model gives Xiaomi’s smartwatch lineup a smaller case option while keeping the high-brightness AMOLED screen, GPS, smartphone compatibility, and long battery rating of the Watch S5 family.
