Xiaomi has launched its first outdoor security camera with 4G connectivity, officially named the Xiaomi Smart Outdoor Camera 4 4G Dual-Camera Edition. The product is now available in China and will also enter crowdfunding at a starting price of 379 yuan, which is roughly $52 USD at current exchange rates.

The camera features a dual-lens system built around two 5-megapixel sensors with f/1.6 apertures. Xiaomi states that this setup enables 3K ultra-high-definition video output, offering both close-range coverage and telephoto monitoring. This dual-camera design is intended to improve area coverage without requiring multiple devices.
For night and low-light use, the camera supports intelligent full-color night vision. It also includes AI-based recognition for humans and vehicles, helping filter motion alerts more accurately. Additional safety functions include sound and light alarms, designed to alert and deter unwanted activity. Users can also interact remotely using the built-in two-way voice communication feature.

Built for outdoor environments, the Smart Outdoor Camera 4 carries an IP66 rating, providing protection against dust and rain. This makes it suitable for installation in open areas such as entrances, yards, and parking spaces.
A key feature of this model is its integrated 4G SIM card, supplied through China Telecom and China Unicom. The SIM card is embedded and cannot be removed or replaced. The camera can automatically switch to a stable mobile network, allowing it to operate independently of Wi-Fi or wired connections. Setup and control are handled through the Mi Home App, with Xiaomi noting that version 11.1 or higher is required.

Xiaomi also confirmed that the built-in SIM includes a free data plan with no data or speed limits, usable exclusively through the Mi Home App. This removes the need for separate data subscriptions, positioning the camera as a self-contained outdoor monitoring solution.
