A new patch for WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is now live for PC players. Patch 1.3, around 1.3 GB in size for the Steam version, focuses on solving performance problems that have been affecting gameplay since release. This patch includes new settings for performance tuning, along with changes to how the game manages memory and resolution scaling on different GPU setups.
One of the core changes is a new manual toggle for Low Latency Mode. Previously, this setting was always enabled, but players can now choose whether to keep it on or off, depending on their system performance. This change allows better control over input responsiveness and system load, particularly for users running mid-range or entry-level hardware.

The update also addresses supersampling resolution behavior. On certain GPU configurations, resolution scaling caused unintended slowdowns during gameplay. Patch 1.3 adjusts the supersampling limits to avoid excessive rendering demands, helping improve stability during high-action scenes or detailed environments.
VRAM usage has also been optimized. For systems with less than 8GB of video memory, the game now applies memory-saving changes across all texture settings. These optimizations are designed to reduce crashes and stuttering in areas where memory demands were previously too high. For GPUs with more than 16GB VRAM, similar changes are applied only when the texture setting is set to “low,” ensuring that higher-end systems aren’t affected negatively.
⚙️ Performance Related Optimizations
- Low Latency Mode is now a manual toggle in the Options menu. It will no longer be enabled by default.
- Supersampling resolution limits have been adjusted on select GPU models to prevent unintended performance degradation.
- VRAM optimization for lower-end GPUs:
- For GPUs with 8GB or less VRAM, memory-saving optimization is now applied across all texture quality levels.
- For GPUs with more than 8GB VRAM, this optimization applies only when texture quality is set to Low.
- These changes improve stability and reduce crashes or stuttering caused by insufficient video memory.
🛠 Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements
- Fixed a crash that could occur immediately after the company logo during game startup.
- Resolved execution stutter affecting select hardware configurations during finisher animations.
- Fixed issues related to both the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition – after the patch update, players of both versions will receive the correct content rewards. Players who have already purchased the Deluxe Edition package will need to log in again and claim the reward at the donation box located in Reverent Temple.
- All WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers Steam owners will receive the Original Soundtrack DLC for free as compensation.
⚔️ Gameplay Balance Adjustments
- Chapter 2 – Landmine Encounter Rebalancing:
- Reduced the number of landmines and adjusted their damage output to create a fairer and enjoyable challenge.
Aside from performance fixes, the patch includes a small balance update in Chapter 2. Although the details are minimal, it appears this is part of ongoing gameplay refinements. The developers confirmed a larger patch is in development and will be released in the coming days with more adjustments.
WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The game continues to receive post-launch support, with updates focused on improving technical performance and game stability.
