Publisher 505 Games and developer Leenzee Games have announced that WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers will release on July 24, 2025. Alongside the release date, two new trailers have been shared, offering a deeper look at the game’s world, enemy design, and what players can expect when it launches this summer.
The latest trailers reveal more of the game’s setting and gameplay. One of the highlights is the introduction of a boss enemy known as the Perfect Bride. This character is presented as a haunting and powerful foe, combining visual elegance with brutal attacks. The battle shown in the trailer demonstrates the game’s focus on melee combat and magical abilities, giving players a sense of the challenges ahead.
WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is set in the final years of the Ming Dynasty, during a time of unrest and supernatural disturbances. Players will take on the role of Bai Wuchang, a warrior cursed by a mysterious affliction. The story follows her journey through ruined cities, ancient temples, and cursed lands, uncovering secrets while facing enemies drawn from Chinese history and folklore.

The game features non-linear exploration, encouraging players to choose their path and discover hidden areas and items. Combat combines traditional weapons with magical powers known as Feathering. Weapons range from swords and spears to heavier arms, each offering distinct move sets and upgrade paths. Feathering abilities allow for unique attacks and buffs, adding another layer to the combat system.
Those who pre-order the game will receive several in-game items designed to enhance the early experience. These include the White Spectre and Night Spectre outfits, the Vermillion War Club weapon, and a Glistening Red Mercury upgrade item. While these bonuses provide some small stat advantages, they are mostly focused on giving players visual customization options early on.
A Deluxe Edition is also available and includes additional content. Players who choose this version will gain access to four extra outfits—Soul Ritual Robe, Tiger of Fortune, Overlord’s Regalia, and Draconic Resurgence—as well as four exclusive weapons: Dragoncoil Lance, Eternal Sovereignty, Moonlight Dragon, and Watcher’s Gaze. It also includes a special skill upgrade item called the Blood of Changhong.

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players interested in staying connected with updates, community discussions, and future announcements can join the official Discord and follow the game’s social channels.
With its mix of action, folklore, and exploration, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is one of the more notable releases set for this summer.
