Wavlink Launches BlitZDock M With Thunderbolt 5 and Built-In PCIe 4.0 SSD Slot

Wavlink has introduced the BlitZDock M, a 15-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 docking station designed for users who need multiple display outputs, high-speed storage, and additional connectivity from a single dock. The device features three Thunderbolt 5 ports, two HDMI outputs, an integrated M.2 SSD slot, and a 2.5GbE Ethernet connection. It is expected to become available in overseas markets in late December.

The BlitZDock M includes an M.2 slot that supports PCIe 4.0 x4 solid-state drives. According to the provided specifications, compatible SSDs can reach sequential read speeds of up to 6,200MB/s and write speeds of up to 5,900MB/s. This allows users to add high-speed storage without relying entirely on their computer’s internal drive or an external SSD enclosure.

For connectivity, the dock has three Thunderbolt 5 ports, including two downstream ports and one upstream port. The downstream connections support data transfer rates of up to 80Gbps, display output at up to 8K resolution and 60Hz, and power delivery of up to 15W. The upstream Thunderbolt 5 connection supports reverse power delivery of up to 140W, allowing the dock to supply power to a compatible connected laptop.

The docking station also includes two HDMI ports and supports connecting up to four displays, although the available resolutions and refresh rates may depend on the host computer, operating system, and display configuration. This setup is aimed at users working with multiple monitors, including professionals who need additional screen space for productivity applications and content creation.

Other connections include three USB-A ports rated at 10Gbps, one USB-C port rated at 10Gbps, SD and TF card slots, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 2.5GbE Ethernet port. Wavlink has also equipped the BlitZDock M with a dual-fan cooling system to manage heat during operation. The dock supports both Windows and macOS platforms.

Wavlink expects the BlitZDock M to arrive in overseas markets in late December. Pricing and exact regional availability have not been specified in the provided announcement. Its combination of Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, expandable SSD storage, quad-display support, and high-power laptop charging makes it an option for users looking to expand the capabilities of a compatible laptop or desktop workstation.
