VZMORE has entered the mini PC market with the AX9 Max, a compact system built around AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor and Radeon 890M integrated graphics. The company is positioning the machine as a small desktop for productivity, AI workloads, content creation, and gaming, with support for high-capacity memory, fast storage, and a wide selection of connectivity options.

The VZMORE AX9 Max measures 5.31 × 5.19 × 2.27 inches and weighs 1.71 pounds, making it small enough to fit into a compact desktop setup without taking up much space. Despite its size, the system can run the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 at up to a 65W power limit. Users can choose between Silent Mode at 45W, Balanced Mode at 54W, and Performance Mode at 65W, allowing the system to balance noise, power consumption, and performance depending on the workload.
The processor is paired with AMD Radeon 890M integrated graphics and a Ryzen AI NPU rated at up to 55 TOPS. This gives the AX9 Max dedicated hardware for compatible AI workloads while keeping the entire system within a compact chassis. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 is also being used in other current mini PCs, showing that AMD’s mobile platform is becoming a common option for higher-performance small-form-factor systems.

VZMORE uses a vapor chamber and fan cooling system to handle the processor at its higher power settings. The cooling design will be particularly important when the AX9 Max is running at 65W for extended periods, as sustained CPU and Radeon 890M workloads can place considerably more pressure on a small chassis than typical office applications.
Memory support is unusually generous for a mini PC. The AX9 Max uses dual-channel DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and supports up to 256GB of RAM. Storage includes one M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot with a 1TB SSD installed, while the platform supports drives of up to 4TB in that slot. A second M.2 2230 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot is also available and can accommodate up to a 1TB drive.
Connectivity is another major part of the AX9 Max. The front panel provides three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, another USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port with S5 power delivery support, a 3.5mm headset jack, and the power button. The rear panel adds two USB4 ports with 40Gbps bandwidth and DisplayPort 2.0 Alt Mode. One USB4 port supports up to 100W USB Power Delivery input, while both can provide up to 15W of power output.

The rear I/O also includes another USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, two HDMI 2.1 ports and two 2.5GbE RJ45 Ethernet connections. A side-mounted SD 4.0 card reader gives the AX9 Max an additional option for users working with cameras and other removable storage.
Wireless connectivity comes through a Wi-Fi 7 M.2 2230 module, with Bluetooth 5.4 also included. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 120W power adapter rated at 19V and 6.32A.
VZMORE plans to showcase the AX9 Max alongside several other systems at ShowStoppers @ IFA 2026 in Berlin. The company is also introducing the iX9 Max, iX9 Ultra, and AX9 Ultra as part of its initial product lineup.

For buyers looking for a compact AMD system, the AX9 Max brings together several features that are normally spread across larger mini PCs, including 2.5GbE networking, dual USB4, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7, a full-size SD 4.0 reader, and support for up to 256GB of memory. Its Radeon 890M graphics also make it more capable for light and medium gaming than mini PCs relying on lower-end integrated GPUs. Actual gaming performance, sustained temperatures, and fan noise will depend on how well the cooling system maintains the 65W performance mode under continuous loads.
