V-Coptr Falcon Mini Dual-Axis Drone Now Live on Indiegogo, Ships in June

Zero Zero Robotics has launched the V-Coptr Falcon Mini RC Drone through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. First introduced during the V-Coptr Falcon event in August 2021, the Falcon Mini remained unreleased for over three years. It is now available for international backers, with shipping expected to begin in June.

The V-Coptr Falcon Mini is a lightweight drone that weighs under 250 grams. This makes it suitable for users in regions with tighter drone regulations, as many countries have less restrictive rules for sub-250g drones. Despite its small size, the Falcon Mini includes features aimed at improving flight stability and control.

Unlike the typical quadcopter design, the Falcon Mini uses a dual-rotor system. Each rotor can adjust its tilt with an accuracy of 0.01 degrees. According to the manufacturer, this precise control helps the drone maintain stable flight even in windy conditions. The motors are made from high-strength alloy steel and are designed to keep the drone steady in various environments.

The drone is equipped with a three-axis mechanical gimbal, which helps stabilize video during flight. It also includes a 12-megapixel camera. However, details about the camera sensor and lens have not been released yet. This may be a consideration for those who prioritize camera performance for photography or video work.

Battery life is listed at up to 34 minutes per charge, which is competitive for drones in this size and price range. The company is offering multiple package options for different types of users:

  • Drone body only: $249
  • Drone with Care insurance: $288
  • Drone with three-battery set: $369
  • Drone with three-battery set and Care insurance: $408

The drone will be available in multiple color options. The company has not shared full details on customization or available combinations, but buyers can expect some variety in appearance.

The crowdfunding campaign marks the first official release of the Falcon Mini, after a long period of silence since its initial unveiling. With its compact form, extended flight time, and dual-rotor design, the Falcon Mini is aimed at users looking for a portable drone with basic aerial capabilities. Backers can place orders now, with the first units expected to ship starting in June.
