TerraMaster Expands NAS Lineup with F4-425 Plus and F2-425 Plus Hybrid Models

TerraMaster has announced the launch of its latest Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices, the F4-425 Plus and F2-425 Plus, designed for home users, small businesses, and tech professionals. These new models feature hybrid storage configurations, high-speed network connectivity, and enhanced system security, offering users flexible options for data storage, backup, and multimedia applications.

The F4-425 Plus introduces a 3+4 bay design, while the F2-425 Plus adopts a 3+2 layout, giving users scalable capacity options of up to 144TB and 84TB respectively. Both NAS units are powered by the Intel N150 quad-core processor, clocked at up to 3.6GHz, and come equipped with 16GB or 8GB of DDR5 memory, supporting efficient multitasking and faster data transfers. The inclusion of dual 5GbE network ports allows the devices to reach transfer speeds of up to 1010 MB/s, meeting the demands of modern data-intensive workflows.

Each model includes three M.2 SSD slots that support up to 8TB per drive, offering users flexibility in configuring high-speed cache or independent storage pools. The company’s TRAID storage technology optimizes read and write performance by 30% while maintaining strong data redundancy. This approach helps users achieve balanced performance and reliability without compromising storage efficiency.

Both NAS models also integrate seamlessly with TerraMaster OS 6 (TOS 6) and the Business Backup Suite (BBS), providing an intuitive management interface and a full range of backup options. TOS 6 brings an improved user experience with multi-language support, visual monitoring tools, and customizable dashboards for real-time performance tracking.

TerraMaster continues its long-term partnerships with leading hard drive manufacturers, including Seagate and Western Digital, to ensure compatibility and stable performance. The company tests over 50 mainstream drive models to guarantee reliability. Each NAS unit supports hard drives of up to 30TB, with expansion options through USB-connected storage arrays, allowing users to scale storage capacity as their needs grow.

For tech enthusiasts, the new NAS units provide high-performance computing with integrated Intel UHD Graphics for 4K and 8K hardware transcoding. Features such as Docker Compose, Portainer, and VirtualBox make it possible to run multiple virtual environments and containerized applications efficiently.

For small and medium businesses, the F4-425 Plus and F2-425 Plus support role-based access control, shared folders, and Windows Domain/LDAP integration for collaborative workflows. The Business Backup Suite includes multiple protection layers such as TerraSync, Duple Backup, and Snapshot to prevent data loss and ensure secure offsite backups.

For home users, these NAS models serve as private cloud centers and multimedia servers. Built-in AI-powered photo management helps organize personal photo libraries locally without cloud uploads, enhancing privacy. The NAS also supports 4K/8K video playback through platforms like Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby, delivering smooth media streaming across devices.

The TerraMaster F4-425 Plus and F2-425 Plus are now available through TerraMaster’s official website, Amazon, Walmart, and authorized distributors. Both products include a 2-year global warranty and lifetime technical support. Early buyers can enjoy a 15% discount from October 21 to October 27, 2025.
