Sharkoon has officially announced the SKILLER SGK55W, a new 75% mechanical keyboard aimed at gamers and users who prefer a compact layout without giving up essential keys. The new model combines dual-mode connectivity, customizable firmware, and a hot-swappable design at a mid-range price point.
The SKILLER SGK55W adopts a 75% layout, which keeps the function row and arrow keys while reducing the overall footprint compared to a full-size keyboard. This format has become popular among users who want a balance between desk space and functionality. A rotary knob is integrated into the top section of the keyboard, offering quick access to volume control or other programmable functions.

Connectivity is handled through USB-C for wired use and 2.4GHz wireless for cable-free operation. The built-in 4000mAh lithium polymer battery powers the keyboard in wireless mode, with Sharkoon rating it for up to 200 hours of use depending on lighting and usage patterns. This capacity is intended to support extended sessions without frequent charging.
Internally, the keyboard features a gasket-mounted design combined with a PC mounting plate. Sharkoon has added silicone pads and dual-layer sound-dampening foam to reduce internal vibrations and improve typing acoustics. The PCB is hot-swappable, allowing users to replace switches without soldering. South-facing RGB lighting is included to improve compatibility with a wide range of aftermarket keycaps.

The SKILLER SGK55W runs on QMK firmware and supports VIA software, giving users access to advanced key remapping, macro programming, and layout customization. This firmware combination is commonly found in enthusiast-grade keyboards and provides flexibility beyond standard gaming software.
Sharkoon equips the keyboard with its own linear mechanical switches, pre-lubricated at the factory. The switches have an actuation force of 41±5g and an actuation distance of 2.0±0.4 mm, with a rated lifespan of 50 million keystrokes. The keycaps are made from double-shot PBT in an original height profile, designed for durability and resistance to surface wear over time.
The Sharkoon SKILLER SGK55W is priced at €74.9 in Europe. With wireless support, QMK/VIA compatibility, and a hot-swappable PCB, the keyboard enters the competitive 75% mechanical keyboard segment with a feature set that targets both gamers and customization-focused users.
