Capcom has officially opened pre-orders for Resident Evil: Requiem, the latest entry in its long-running survival horror franchise. The game is scheduled for a global launch on February 27, 2026, and will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. This marks the series’s first mainline release developed simultaneously for both next-generation consoles and the upcoming Switch platform.
The base version of Resident Evil: Requiem is priced at $69.99, while the Deluxe Edition comes in at $79.99. Capcom has detailed that the Deluxe Edition includes additional in-game features such as five character costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, and a selection of lore-based collectibles. These extras are aimed at players who want to explore more of the game’s backstory and visual variety beyond the core campaign.

Alongside the game announcement, Capcom revealed the Resident Evil: Requiem Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, a limited-edition accessory priced at $99. It features a themed design inspired by the game and will be available exclusively through the Nintendo Store. The controller is set to launch on the same day as the game, allowing players to experience the title with matching hardware from day one.

Capcom also confirmed a new collaboration between Resident Evil: Requiem and Fortnite for players who purchase the game through the Epic Games Store. While full details of the crossover are yet to be shared, the first confirmed item is an outfit based on the protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. Capcom has stated that more related content will be revealed closer to the game’s release date, hinting at additional themed items within Fortnite’s ecosystem.
An official Amiibo based on Grace Ashcroft is also in development and will launch alongside the game. Although Capcom has not yet released any images of the collectible, it is expected to feature the main character’s updated design as seen in Requiem. Amiibo functionality details have not been specified, but it is likely to include exclusive in-game bonuses when used with the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Resident Evil: Requiem is shaping up to be one of Capcom’s most anticipated releases in years. Following the success of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village, the company aims to deliver another high-quality horror experience built with its RE Engine. With new content, platform-specific accessories, and cross-franchise collaborations, Capcom’s latest installment is positioned to reach both returning fans and a new generation of players when it arrives in February 2026.
