REDMAGIC Launches Cooler 8 Pro and Cooler 8 Air With Up to 36W Cooling Power

REDMAGIC has announced the REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Series, a new lineup of mobile cooling accessories built for gaming smartphones and portable devices. The series includes two models, the Cooler 8 Pro and Cooler 8 Air, both designed to maintain lower device temperatures during long gaming sessions, streaming, and other performance-heavy tasks.

The company says the Cooler 8 Series focuses on consistent thermal control to help reduce performance drops caused by heat buildup. Mobile games and video workloads often push smartphones to sustained high temperatures, which can lead to throttling and reduced frame rates. REDMAGIC’s new cooling accessories aim to address this issue with a combination of thermoelectric cooling and active airflow.

Cooler 8 Series Designed for High-Load Mobile Gaming

The Cooler 8 Series uses a large 1,640 mm² TEC cooling plate combined with active fan cooling. According to REDMAGIC, the system can deliver up to 36W of cooling power, with temperatures reaching as low as -25°C under certain conditions.

Both models support multiple mounting methods, including MagSafe compatibility for iPhones, magnetic stickers for Android devices, and a clip-on mount for broader compatibility. This allows the cooler to work with smartphones, tablets, and handheld gaming setups.

The devices also feature RGB lighting and can be controlled through REDMAGIC’s Goper App, which allows users to adjust cooling modes and monitor temperature behavior.

Cooler 8 Pro Targets Intensive Gaming and Streaming

The REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Pro is the higher-performance option in the series. It uses the company’s 8th-generation COLDLNG architecture and supports cooling output up to 36W. REDMAGIC states that the system can produce a maximum temperature drop of up to 80°C in certain workloads.

Cooling is handled by an 11-blade turbo fan running at up to 6,200 RPM, paired with an aluminum heatsink designed to improve heat transfer. The cooler can reach temperatures down to -25°C, helping maintain stable performance during demanding games or extended streaming sessions.

The unit includes both magnetic and clip-on mounting options, allowing it to attach to different smartphone models or streaming rigs. REDMAGIC rates the noise output at around 36 dB, which keeps the operation relatively quiet during gameplay.

Cooler 8 Air Focuses on Portability

The REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Air is designed for users who want a smaller and lighter cooling solution. The cooler weighs 65 grams and measures 21 mm thick, making it easier to carry alongside a phone or tablet.

Despite its compact design, the device supports cooling temperatures down to -20°C. A 7-blade fan provides airflow to assist the thermoelectric cooling system.

The Cooler 8 Air also supports magnetic and clip-on mounting and includes three adjustable cooling modes for gaming, media playback, and lighter workloads. Noise output is rated at 30 dB, and the cooler features breathing-style RGB lighting.
