Razer is giving its popular Basilisk gaming mouse a major hardware update with the new Basilisk V4 Pro, combining an ergonomic design with 14 customizable controls, 8,000Hz wireless polling, and a new 50,000 DPI optical sensor. The company has also introduced the Mouse Dock V2 Pro wireless charging dock alongside the mouse, while a lighter Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed model is aimed at players who want a simpler setup.
The Basilisk V4 Pro keeps the familiar ergonomic shape and thumb rest of previous Basilisk models, but Razer has changed the control layout to accommodate more inputs. The multi-function trigger has been repositioned for easier access, while a third side button and new M1 edge button bring the total to 14 customizable controls. Razer says the new model is also 12 grams lighter than its predecessor despite the additional hardware.

The mouse’s HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 is another significant upgrade. It offers a 24-step tactile mode, a 48-step Precision Tactile mode, Free-Spin scrolling, and Smart-Reel, which can automatically switch between tactile and free-spin operation based on scrolling speed. Razer Synapse also provides five levels of Virtual Acceleration for users who want faster scrolling when moving the wheel more quickly.
Underneath, the Basilisk V4 Pro uses Razer’s Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, with up to 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS tracking, and 90 G acceleration. The sensor supports Frame Sync, while Asymmetric Cut-Off lets users separately adjust lift-off and landing distances. Razer also includes Perfect 180, Dynamic Sensitivity, and Mouse Rotation settings through Synapse.

HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 supports true 8,000Hz polling in both wireless and wired modes. The mouse also uses Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4, rated for up to 100 million clicks and designed with 12% lighter actuation.
Razer has not ignored battery life either. The Basilisk V4 Pro can run for up to 200 hours through HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 at 1,000Hz, while Bluetooth 6.2 increases the claimed battery life to up to 275 hours. The mouse supports five-way multi-device connectivity across HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2, Bluetooth 6.2, and wired mode.

The Basilisk V4 Pro also adds 7-zone Razer Chroma RGB with full underglow. The lighting can be customized across 16.8 million colors and synchronized with more than 300 Chroma-integrated games, compatible Razer products, and more than 50 partner products.
The new Razer Mouse Dock V2 Pro provides magnetic wireless charging and includes an integrated 8,000Hz transceiver for HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2. It also supports HyperSpeed Multi-Device connectivity for compatible Razer mice and keyboards, along with 8-zone Chroma RGB underglow, a charging indicator, and an anti-slip base.
For users who want a lighter and more streamlined option, Razer has also announced the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed. It weighs 94 grams and features the Focus X 33K Optical Sensor Gen-3, 12 customizable controls, and up to 140 hours of battery life.
