Phanteks Launches Matrix Series PC Cases With Fabric LED Displays and Nexlinq Control

Phanteks has officially introduced the Matrix Series, a new lineup of PC Cases and display upgrades designed to merge system monitoring, lighting control, and chassis design into a single platform. The series includes the Evolv X2 Matrix, the XT View Matrix, and the Matrix-600 Upgrade Kit, all built around Phanteks’ Nexlinq software ecosystem. With this release, the company is expanding its case portfolio to include integrated visual displays that focus on both usability and long-term performance impact.

The Matrix Series features a fabric-covered LED matrix display that replaces traditional exposed lighting elements. Rather than using rigid panels or bright, uncovered LEDs, Phanteks positions the display behind a woven fabric layer. This design diffuses the light evenly, producing a softer appearance while maintaining a clean exterior. The displays aren’t limited to lighting effects—they can also show real-time system information, text, and user-defined animations.

Phanteks states that all Matrix products rely on the Nexlinq App, which runs on dedicated hardware and uses less than three percent of CPU resources. This design choice aims to ensure that system monitoring and display features do not interfere with gaming, content creation, or workstation workloads. Each widget shown on the Matrix display can be customized in size, position, and visual style, allowing users to build layouts based on their own preferences rather than pre-set templates.

The Evolv X2 Matrix is positioned as the flagship product in the new lineup. It features a 900-LED matrix display placed behind premium fabric and framed by glass panels. The display spans a large portion of the chassis surface and can be used for system stats, animations, or static imagery created through Nexlinq.

Beyond the display, the Evolv X2 Matrix introduces a vertical airflow layout that directs cool air from the bottom of the case upward. This design is intended to support modern high-power components, including large graphics cards and high-core-count processors. Phanteks notes that airflow is balanced between the CPU and GPU, while the internal structure remains open and uncluttered.

The case includes integrated D-RGB accents, structured cable routing, and support for ATX rear-connector motherboards. Power and data for the Matrix display are delivered through a single SATA cable and a USB 2.0 header, reducing cable complexity during installation. Phanteks positions the Evolv X2 Matrix as a chassis that combines cooling performance with a focus on visual presentation without turning the interior into a showcase of exposed lighting hardware.

The XT View Matrix brings the same Matrix concept to a more accessible price segment. Instead of a full front display, the XT View Matrix integrates a 600-LED matrix behind the side fabric panel. This allows users to display system data and animations while keeping the exterior appearance restrained.

In terms of hardware support, the XT View Matrix is designed to accommodate large graphics cards and rear-connector motherboards. The case supports up to nine 120 mm fans and includes top-mounted radiator support for liquid cooling setups. Phanteks bundles three M25-120 mm D-RGB fans with the case, providing a ready-to-use airflow configuration out of the box.

As with the flagship model, the display is powered by one SATA cable and a USB 2.0 header and is managed entirely through the Nexlinq App. Phanteks emphasizes that the same low CPU usage applies to the XT View Matrix, regardless of the number of widgets or animations displayed.

For users who already own compatible Phanteks cases, the Matrix-600 Upgrade Kit adds Matrix display functionality without requiring a full chassis replacement. The kit is compatible with models such as the XT View and G400A and includes a 600-LED array mounted behind UV- and wear-resistant fabric.

The upgrade kit supports system monitoring, time and date display, text messages, and custom animations. Configuration is handled through the Nexlinq App on Windows, using the same interface and customization tools as the integrated Matrix cases. Phanteks describes the kit as an entry point into the Matrix ecosystem for existing customers.

The Nexlinq App serves as the control center for the entire Matrix Series. Users can monitor CPU and GPU temperatures, fan speeds, and system time while adjusting lighting effects and animations in real time. Widgets are fully adjustable, and users can create static images using the built-in editor.

Phanteks highlights that Nexlinq operates independently of system load, maintaining low CPU usage even with multiple active widgets. This allows the Matrix displays to remain responsive without affecting overall system performance.

All Matrix Series products will be available starting January 5, 2026. Pricing is set as follows:

  • Evolv X2 Matrix (Charcoal Black / Grey White):
    $199.99 | €199.90 | £179.90
  • XT View Matrix (Charcoal Black / Grey White):
    $119.99 | €119.90 | £104.90
  • Matrix-600 Screen Upgrade Kit (Charcoal Black / Grey White):
    $49.99 | €49.90 | £43.90

To mark the launch, Phanteks is including a complimentary Nexlinq Hub with each Evolv X2 Matrix purchase while supplies last. Customers in the United States are required to contact Phanteks customer service with proof of purchase, while customers in other regions should consult their authorized retailers for redemption details.

With the Matrix Series, Phanteks is extending its case lineup beyond traditional lighting and airflow designs, focusing instead on integrated displays and software-driven customization aimed at both new system builders and existing users.
