One month after the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom has unveiled details about the game’s first Free Title Update, set to introduce new monsters, quests, and a social hub. The update is scheduled for release on April 4, bringing fresh challenges for players on PC and modern consoles.
Mizutsune Joins the Hunt
The Leviathan Mizutsune, known for its fluid movements and bubble-based attacks, makes its return in Monster Hunter Wilds. This fan-favorite monster will be available to hunt for players at Hunter Rank (HR) 21 or higher, accessible through Kanya at the Scarlet Forest Base Camp. Players can also take on a formidable Tempered Mizutsune, offering an even greater challenge. New armor sets inspired by Mizutsune will be available for both hunters and Palicoes.
Arch-Tempered Rey Dau Brings a New Challenge

A new Arch-Tempered monster, Rey Dau, will debut in an Event Quest launching April 30. Tempered monsters already represent some of the toughest battles in Monster Hunter Wilds, but this new Arch-Tempered variant is expected to push players even further. To participate, hunters must reach HR 50 or above. Successfully completing this hunt will grant materials for crafting the Rey Dau γ (gamma) and Felyne Rey Dau γ (gamma) armor sets.
Zoh Shia Returns for High Rank Hunts

Previously a single-story battle, Zoh Shia will now be available as a repeatable High Rank hunt for HR 50+ players. The battle can be accessed after the update via the Environment Overview menu or as a rare encounter during the Wyvern’s Wakening in the Ruins of Wyveria. Hunting Zoh Shia will allow players to forge new High Rank hunter and Palico gear.

Introducing the Grand Hub – A New Social Gathering Space

Capcom is introducing the Grand Hub, a dedicated social space where hunters can interact, participate in activities, and access squad management features. The Grand Hub, located in the Peaks of Accord, will be available to players at HR 16 and above after speaking with Tetsuzan in Suja.
New Activities in the Grand Hub:
- Barrel Bowling – A mini-game where players roll barrel bombs at targets to earn items and pendants.
- Felyne Cookouts – A new area to enjoy meals and socialize with other players.
- Squad Management – The Squad Information Counter will be relocated to the Grand Hub for easier access.
- Diva Performances – The Grand Hub serves as a spiritual center, and players can occasionally listen to the Diva’s singing performances at night.
Arena Quests and Challenge Quests Arrive

Arena Quests return, allowing up to two players to complete hunts with predetermined gear in the fastest time possible. Players can compare their completion times globally via the Expedition Record Board.

New Challenge Quests will also be introduced, offering limited-time hunts where players earn pendants based on their performance.
- Standard Challenge Quests – Limited to two players with preset equipment.
- Free Challenge Quests – No equipment restrictions, and up to four players can participate.
Cosmetic Updates and DLC

Players will gain the ability to change Alma’s outfit via the camp’s Appearance Menu, with additional customization options unlocking through side missions. A free outfit for Alma will also be available.

Additional free DLC will include classic Monster Hunter gestures and outfits for Alma, while a paid Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will be released alongside the update. The pack is part of the Cosmetic DLC Pass, included in the Premium Deluxe Edition or available separately.
Seasonal Event: Festival of Accord – Blossomdance

From April 23 to May 7, Monster Hunter Wilds will celebrate its first seasonal event, Festival of Accord: Blossomdance. The Grand Hub will feature new decorations, seasonal meals, and limited-time rewards, including event-exclusive equipment, gestures, and pop-up camp decorations.
