MCHOSE Launches K87S Tri-Mode Mechanical Keyboard with In-House Star Dou Technology

MCHOSE has officially announced the launch of the K87S, a new tri-mode mechanical keyboard that combines wired, wireless 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth connectivity. The K87S is the first keyboard to feature the company’s in-house developed Star Dou solution, a technology that supports dual 8KHz polling rates for both wired and wireless use. This development highlights MCHOSE’s shift toward self-developed performance solutions in the gaming peripheral market.

The K87S comes equipped with a 10,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. When the backlight is disabled, it can provide up to 2,500 hours of usage on a single charge, placing it among the longest-lasting wireless mechanical keyboards available.

The keyboard also benefits from MCHOSE’s StarTech and TOPSEED 2.0 wireless technology, which introduces intelligent dynamic power management and full-band interference suppression. This helps reduce power consumption and maintain stable connections in different environments. In terms of performance, the K87S achieves a reported delay of just 0.125 ms, putting it in line with performance-focused wired keyboards. Advanced key functions, including SOCD, MT, TGL, and CB, are also supported, aimed at delivering precise input control for gaming and professional use.

In terms of build quality, the K87S features a gasket-mounted design combined with five layers of shock-absorbing material. This structure enhances typing comfort while also reducing vibration and noise. Buyers can choose between two switch configurations: the Huannuo Ice Blue switch or the TTC Fast Gold V3 switch, which is the first to be used in an MCHOSE product. Both versions include original double-shot PBT keycaps for durability and resistance to wear.

The K87S also incorporates south-facing ARGB lighting with support for 16 million colors. It offers a wide range of effects, including Aura synchronization, music rhythm response, and GIF-based lighting. Above the arrow key cluster, MCHOSE has included a volume control knob and a breathing light that doubles as a battery status indicator, adding utility to its design.

With its tri-mode connectivity, in-house technology, extended battery life, and structural design, the K87S enters the market as a mechanical keyboard that balances customization with high performance. Its mix of wired-level responsiveness and long wireless endurance positions it as a competitive option for gamers, content creators, and professionals looking for advanced input solutions in 2025.
