Lian Li has introduced the SP V2 series of fully modular power supplies designed for compact systems. Built on the SFX form factor, the new line complies with the SFX12V 4.0 specification, which is aligned with the ATX 3.1 standard. This update succeeds the earlier SP series that supported ATX 3.0, bringing improvements to connector compatibility and efficiency.
The SP V2 range includes two wattage options: SP750 V2 and SP850 V2. Both are offered in black and white variants, covering different case color preferences. Each unit features the updated 12V-2×6 connector, which replaces the older 12VHPWR connector from the first-generation SP series. Unlike some 850 W ATX 3.1 power supplies that provide a 600 W-capable 12V-2×6 connection, the SP V2 models include a 12V-2×6 connector rated for up to 450 W continuous power delivery. Lian Li differentiates these connectors by marking them with a blue color code, making them easy to identify.

Both wattage variants come with the same cable configuration, providing a wide range of support for modern PC builds. Each unit includes a 24-pin ATX cable, two 8-pin EPS connectors, two 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors, a 12V-2×6 connector, seven SATA power connectors, and one Molex connector. The modular design allows users to connect only the necessary cables, ensuring better cable management and improved airflow in small form factor enclosures.
The SP V2 series is certified with 80 Plus Gold efficiency, ensuring consistent performance across different load levels. Lian Li equips these PSUs with active PFC (power factor correction) and DC-to-DC switching for stable voltage regulation. The units also feature Japanese capacitors, known for durability and reliability, along with the full suite of protection mechanisms such as over-voltage, under-voltage, short-circuit, over-current, and over-temperature safeguards.

To handle heat in the compact SFX housing, both models use a 92 mm fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) fan. This fan type is designed to balance cooling efficiency with long operational life. The FDB mechanism reduces friction, which not only helps with consistent cooling performance but also keeps noise levels in check under different system loads.
While Lian Li has not yet provided details on pricing or exact availability, the company confirmed that the SP V2 series will ship with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty period is in line with current industry standards for high-efficiency, modular PSUs, offering long-term assurance for system builders.

The introduction of the SP V2 comes at a time when more compact PC builds are adopting high-performance components, including next-generation graphics cards that demand compliant and reliable power delivery. By moving from ATX 3.0 to ATX 3.1 specifications and supporting the newer 12V-2×6 connector, Lian Li is positioning the SP V2 series as a ready option for users who require modern compatibility in SFX-based systems. The two available wattage options—750 W and 850 W—cover a wide range of build requirements, from mainstream compact gaming PCs to higher-end small form factor systems that need efficient power delivery.
