Gamers looking for a Hall effect keyboard with a compact layout now have another option, as IQUNIX has officially launched the EC75 HE for $179.99. The 75% keyboard was first shown at Computex earlier this year, and IQUNIX has now confirmed its pricing and full feature set. At the time of writing, Amazon is the only place where the EC75 HE can be purchased, while the company’s own store page is not live yet.
The EC75 HE is built around a 75% layout, keeping the function row while reducing the amount of desk space used by a traditional keyboard. This makes it suitable for users who switch between gaming and everyday work without giving up dedicated function keys. The keyboard combines a CNC aluminum mid-case with an injection-molded plastic bottom case and uses a gasket-mounted construction.
Inside the case, IQUNIX has added three layers of sound-damping material. The plastic bottom section also provides space for adjustable flip-out feet, giving users three typing angles of 2.8, 6, and 10 degrees.
The keyboard comes with IQUNIX Diamond Pro Magnetic switches. These are linear Hall effect switches with an actuation force between 35 and 50 gf and 3.3 mm of total travel. They are pre-lubricated from the factory and use transparent housings that work with the south-facing per-key RGB lighting. The included keycaps use a Cherry profile and double-shot PBT construction.
The Hall effect hardware is where the EC75 HE targets gaming users. Its adjustable actuation range starts at 0.01 mm and goes up to 3.1 mm, while Rapid Trigger can also be configured in 0.01 mm increments. The keyboard supports additional functions including SOCD, DKS, and ModTap, giving users more options for configuring key behavior in supported games.
IQUNIX has also equipped the EC75 HE with an 8 kHz polling rate. The keyboard supports full key remapping, three onboard profiles, and three layers for each profile. There is no wireless connectivity, with the EC75 HE relying exclusively on USB Type-C.
