If you’re looking for a mechanical keyboard that goes beyond the usual 75% layout, Epomaker’s new RT75 could be worth a look. The company has officially launched the retro-inspired keyboard with a built-in 1.54-inch TFT display, hot-swappable switches, 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, and a large 5,000mAh battery, while keeping the price below $100.
The Epomaker RT75 is available for $91.79 with Creamy Jade linear switches, while the Crystal Tactile Silent version costs $93.49 through Epomaker’s online store. The keyboard is currently listed in Retro White, although Epomaker also shows Matte Grey and Fern Green versions, which could arrive later.
The biggest difference between the RT75 and many other 75% keyboards is its display. The 1.54-inch TFT screen can be used to show custom GIFs, a clock, or system information. Epomaker has also made the display hot-swappable. Removing it creates space for four additional switches, giving users the option to move the keyboard closer to an 80% or TKL-style configuration.
The keyboard uses traditional MX-style hot-swap sockets, so switching to compatible mechanical switches does not require soldering. Epomaker pairs these with Cherry-profile PBT keycaps featuring dye-sublimated legends. The board also uses a polycarbonate plate, which provides some flex compared with a more rigid metal construction.
Inside the ABS case, Epomaker has used a Poron gasket mount along with six layers of sound-dampening material. This combination is designed to reduce unwanted noise while giving the keys a softer feel during typing. The RT75 has a fixed 5.8-degree typing angle and does not include flip-out feet for adjusting the height.
Connectivity covers most of the expected options for a modern wireless mechanical keyboard. Users can connect through Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, or USB Type-C. The wired and 2.4GHz modes support polling rates of up to 1,000Hz, while the 5,000mAh battery provides power for wireless operation.
The RT75 also includes south-facing per-key RGB lighting, which can be configured through Epomaker Driver 3.0. The software is available as a browser-based utility as well as an installable application for Windows and macOS.

At around $92, the Epomaker RT75 is positioned against a crowded selection of enthusiast-focused mechanical keyboards. Its retro styling is only part of the package, with the configurable TFT display, wireless connectivity, large battery, gasket mount, and hot-swap PCB giving it plenty of features for the price. The unusual screen placement also gives the RT75 a different approach to the familiar 75% keyboard format.
