GMKtec NucBox G11 Mini PC Launches with Ryzen Embedded CPU, Dual 2.5GbE, Starts at $169

GMKtec has announced the NucBox G11, a compact mini PC built around an embedded Ryzen platform. The new system is positioned as a low-cost option for home users, small businesses, and edge deployments, while still offering a feature set that covers networking and storage-heavy workloads.

The device is powered by the AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514, a quad-core, eight-thread processor capable of boosting up to 3.7 GHz. It works alongside Radeon Vega 8 graphics, enabling smooth handling of everyday computing tasks like office applications, web browsing, and media playback. The integrated GPU also supports 4K video output and can manage light GPU-accelerated workloads.

GMKtec is promoting the G11 for a range of scenarios beyond basic desktop use. The system can be configured for home server duties, NAS-like storage setups, and local AI inference. It is also suited for small business environments, including digital signage, retail systems, and industrial edge computing. Support for the company’s Claw AI platform is mentioned as part of its local AI deployment approach.

At this price range, the inclusion of dual 2.5GbE LAN ports adds notable flexibility, allowing the mini PC to handle networking tasks such as a software router, firewall, or virtualization host. This configuration suits users looking to build compact network setups for home labs or small office environments.

The NucBox G11 also offers a good level of expandability for its size. It supports up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory and includes two M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 slots, with total storage capacity reaching up to 16 TB. This makes it suitable for storing large datasets, media libraries, or application files.

In terms of connectivity, the system includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, along with multiple USB 3.2 ports offering speeds up to 10 Gbps. For display output, the G11 supports up to three 4K monitors via HDMI and USB-C, which can be useful for multitasking or commercial display setups.

The chassis measures 128.5 x 127 x 51 mm and uses a cooling system that combines a copper heat pipe with a turbine-style fan to maintain stable operation during extended workloads.

Pricing starts at $169.99 for the barebone model. Configurations with 16 GB memory and 256 GB or 512 GB storage are priced at $279.99 and $299.99, respectively, placing the NucBox G11 in the affordable segment while offering a broad set of features.
