GMKtec has announced the launch of its latest mini PC, the NucBox M8, powered by AMD’s Ryzen 5 PRO 6650H processor. This New Mini PC is designed for users seeking reliable performance in a compact form factor suitable for both professional and personal computing needs.
The NucBox M8 features a modern design developed by a Red Dot Award-winning team. The chassis is built entirely from metal and uses a floating “C-shaped” structure with integrated lighting effects, combining durability with a refined visual appearance. Despite its small size, the M8 delivers strong processing performance powered by the Ryzen 5 PRO 6650H — a 6-core, 12-thread processor with clock speeds reaching up to 4.5 GHz. It also includes a Radeon 660M GPU, enabling smooth graphics performance for content creation, multimedia, and gaming.
The system supports high-speed LPDDR5X 6400 MHz memory and up to 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, expandable to 8 TB, ensuring users have the flexibility for future upgrades. GMKtec has also introduced three distinct performance profiles to cater to different workloads: Silent Mode (28 W) for quiet operation, Balanced Mode (35 W) for everyday use, and Performance Mode (40 W) for intensive applications.
The NucBox M8 features GMKtec’s “Arctic Ocean” dual-fan cooling system, which combines vapor chamber technology with 3D air inlets to optimize heat distribution. Copper heat pipes, precise fan control, and a dust-resistant design work together to maintain stable performance under sustained load. Dedicated airflow channels also help regulate SSD and memory temperatures, supporting long-term reliability while keeping noise levels minimal.

For networking, the device supports dual 2.5G Ethernet connections along with Wi-Fi 6, which delivers up to 5.5 times faster speeds compared to Wi-Fi 5. The system can handle up to three 4K displays simultaneously through HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB4 outputs, offering versatility for creators, professionals, and multitaskers.
Weighing a fraction of a traditional desktop PC, the NucBox M8 measures just a small portion of a standard tower—roughly 1/40th the size and 1/20th the weight.
