Epomaker Unveils HE80: 75% Compact Gaming Keyboard With Hall Effect Switches

Epomaker has unveiled its latest addition to the mechanical keyboard market, the HE80, a 75% compact layout keyboard equipped with 82 keys and Hall Effect magnetic switches. Designed to meet the needs of both gamers and professionals, the Epomaker HE80 emphasizes precision, stability, and customization in a space-saving form factor.

The HE80 features a 75% layout that removes the numpad while retaining function keys and arrow keys, making it a practical choice for users who want a balance between functionality and desk space optimization. The keyboard comes with PBT keycaps as standard, paired with an additional set of polycarbonate (PC) transparent keycaps. This combination enhances not only durability but also the visual impact of the RGB backlighting, giving the keyboard a distinctive appearance when in use.

The HE80 uses a solid base plate design without any cutouts, which helps minimize flex and ensures a firm, consistent typing experience. This approach gives the keyboard a more stable build, aligning with traditional mechanical keyboard construction. It enhances durability and provides reliable feedback, especially beneficial during rapid typing or gaming.

The HE80 features Epomaker’s MagneX Switch, which uses Hall Effect technology to detect key presses. Instead of relying on physical contact like traditional mechanical switches, Hall Effect switches sense magnetic fields. This approach minimizes wear, ensures consistent actuation, and delivers faster response times with lower latency—an advantage for gamers who prioritize performance. The magnetic sensing also enables advanced functions such as adjustable actuation points and end travel customization.

The HE80 also supports a hot-swappable configuration, letting users replace south-facing magnetic switches without the need for soldering or disassembly. This functionality enables further customization for those who prefer different switch types or want to test new configurations. Users can access a range of advanced settings, including Dynamic Keystroke (DKS), Mod-Tap (MT), and Toggle (TGL) through Epomaker’s online driver tool, which operates without requiring a software download.

Epomaker has positioned the HE80 as a versatile solution for diverse use cases. Its blend of gaming-focused features and professional-grade adjustments makes it suitable for a variety of workflows, from high-speed gaming to precision-driven tasks.

The Epomaker HE80 is available now through the company’s official website, Amazon, and AliExpress. It is currently listed at $69.99 on Epomaker’s website as part of its launch promotion.
