Epomaker has expanded beyond mechanical keyboards with the launch of the GX1, the company’s first gaming headset. The new headset is aimed at PC gamers looking for wireless connectivity, virtual surround sound, and a long battery life without moving into a higher price range. The Epomaker GX1 is priced at $49.99 and uses an open-back design with 50mm dynamic drivers.
The headset weighs around 320 grams and features a seven-level adjustable headband for different head sizes. RGB lighting is built into the earcups and can be customized, giving users an option to match the headset with the rest of their gaming setup. The open-back construction is also intended to create a more spacious audio presentation, although it allows some outside sound in and can let game audio leak into the surrounding area.
For wireless gaming, the GX1 includes a dedicated 2.4GHz dongle with a claimed latency of 25 milliseconds.
