COLORFUL Technology Company Limited has introduced the Chitu MAG-60 Magnetic Switch Keyboard, a limited-edition mechanical keyboard inspired by the Chinese zodiac sign of 2026, the Year of the Horse. The new keyboard combines traditional Chinese design elements with modern magnetic switch technology, bringing a collector-focused option for keyboard enthusiasts, gamers, and fans of custom mechanical keyboards.
The Chitu MAG-60 takes its name from Chitu (赤兔), the legendary Red Hare horse from Chinese history and folklore. COLORFUL designed the keyboard around the theme of the famous horse, using traditional patterns and premium materials to create a unique appearance. Only 300 units of the keyboard will be produced worldwide, making it a limited release aimed at collectors.

The keyboard features a vermilion-red finish inspired by classic Chinese seal artwork, along with horse carvings from the Han Dynasty and cloud-inspired decorative patterns. The design combines cultural references with a modern gaming keyboard layout, creating a product that focuses on both appearance and performance.
The Chitu MAG-60 uses a premium Alcantara suede top cover that is handcrafted for a soft and refined surface. The keyboard also includes full-grain leather side accents and embossed cloud patterns that add more detail to the exterior. The internal structure is built around a CNC-machined T6 aluminum chassis with a multi-layer anodized finish for durability.
COLORFUL has also added several collector-focused features, including:
- Laser-engraved individual serial numbers
- Two custom metal artisan keycaps with horse-themed engravings
- Limited production of 300 units worldwide
- Chitu-inspired artwork on the bottom case
- Premium aluminum construction

For the switch system, the Chitu MAG-60 uses custom TTC Year of the Horse “White Horse” Magnetic Switches. These switches are designed with a triple-layer acoustic structure to improve sound and typing feel. The magnetic switch design also includes custom rare-earth magnets, transparent housing for RGB lighting effects, and a rated lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes.
Other keyboard features include:
- Five-sided dye-sublimated PBT keycaps
- Top-mount suspended structure
- Four layers of sound-dampening material
- Improved acoustic tuning
- Smooth magnetic switch operation
The keyboard is also built for gaming with TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sensing technology. Compared with traditional magnetic switch solutions, TMR technology is designed to reduce power consumption and improve stability during longer gaming sessions.
Gaming specifications include:
- Up to 90% lower power consumption
- 0.005 mm trigger precision
- 8,000 Hz polling rate
- 0.125 ms latency
- Anti-mistouch protection
- Improved thermal stability
For customization, the Chitu MAG-60 supports a browser-based driver platform that allows users to adjust actuation settings, Rapid Trigger functions, macros, RGB lighting, and firmware updates without installing extra software. The keyboard supports 22 lighting effects, 16.8 million colors, and motherboard RGB synchronization.

The keyboard uses a compact 60% layout to save desk space while keeping essential controls available. It supports both Windows and macOS, allowing users to switch between gaming, work, and daily computing tasks.
COLORFUL will launch the limited-edition Chitu MAG-60 Magnetic Keyboard on June 30 with a price tag of RMB 2,399. With only 300 units available globally, the keyboard is expected to target collectors and mechanical keyboard fans looking for a limited production model with custom materials and magnetic switch technology.
