Capcom has officially confirmed that PRAGMATA, its upcoming sci-fi action-adventure title, will be launching in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The announcement was made alongside a new trailer showcased during Sony’s latest PlayStation State of Play broadcast.
Originally announced in 2020, PRAGMATA has seen multiple delays, but the latest update offers a fresh look at what players can expect from the long-in-development title. The new trailer highlights the game’s futuristic lunar setting and introduces two central characters: Hugh, a spacefarer, and Diana, an advanced android. Together, the duo is caught in a dangerous struggle for survival aboard an abandoned moon research station controlled by a hostile AI.

The story begins when Hugh and Diana encounter each other in the desolate station. With communications down and escape options limited, the two must cooperate to navigate the AI-controlled facility and find a way back to Earth. As they progress, players will engage in a series of combat and exploration scenarios while unraveling the mystery behind the station’s malfunction and the events leading up to their meeting.
A notable feature of PRAGMATA’s gameplay is the ability to control both characters simultaneously in a single-player experience. This dual-character system plays a central role in solving environmental puzzles and surviving against increasingly complex threats. Capcom also introduced a gameplay mechanic called “Hacking,” which adds a tactical layer to combat. Though not much detail was shared about how Hacking will function, it appears to be a key part of the game’s strategic approach to battles.

While gameplay footage remains limited, the visual direction suggests a mix of hard science fiction themes with elements of emotional storytelling. The environments shown in the trailer include high-tech research labs, lunar landscapes, and sequences hinting at reality-bending anomalies. The game runs on Capcom’s RE Engine, known for powering recent titles like Resident Evil Village and Devil May Cry 5, suggesting a focus on high-end visuals and performance.
PRAGMATA will include full voice language support for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. Subtitles will also be available in Simplified Chinese, Polish, and Arabic.

Capcom has stated that more information about the game’s mechanics and story will be revealed closer to launch. For now, fans can expect a single-player, narrative-driven experience that blends action, exploration, and character-driven storytelling in a science fiction setting.
The release window marks PRAGMATA’s official return to Capcom’s release roadmap after a prolonged silence, offering some clarity for those following its development since its original debut.
