Beelink has launched its ME Pro modular NAS on Kickstarter, introducing a storage system that allows users to upgrade motherboard hardware and expand drive capacity without replacing the entire unit. The ME Pro will be available in two-bay and four-bay configurations, with a slide-out motherboard design that supports compatible Intel and AMD modules.

Unlike conventional NAS systems, the ME Pro allows users to move the same motherboard module between its two-bay and four-bay enclosures in either direction. This means users can increase storage capacity as their requirements grow while keeping their existing computing hardware. Beelink has also designed a one-piece metal chassis that reportedly takes up around 50% less space than NAS systems offering the same number of drive bays.
The system uses thermally conductive silicone and aluminum brackets to transfer heat away from the drives, while a vapor chamber and internal blower help dissipate heat. Its secured internal assembly also limits vibration during operation. Beelink claims the NAS can operate at noise levels as low as 34 dB and is designed for continuous 24/7 use.

The ME Pro ships with Fygo OS, which includes file synchronization, backup tools, AI-powered photo organization, snapshot-based file recovery, and one-click remote access. Beelink is also offering its Seek media collaboration platform, allowing users and teams to preview and transcode different media formats, annotate files, manage access permissions, and share assets through a common workspace.
For users who want to run AI workloads locally, Beelink offers the AI 470 configuration with up to 86 TOPS of AI performance. It supports local AI assistants and models such as Qwen 3.5 with up to 35 billion parameters, DeepSeek R1 with up to 32 billion parameters, and Gemma 4 with up to 26 billion parameters. This makes the ME Pro more than a conventional network storage device, although actual AI performance will depend on the selected configuration and workload.

The Beelink ME Pro Kickstarter campaign is now live, with early-bird offers available. However, buyers should remember that the ME Pro is a crowdfunded product. Kickstarter pledges do not guarantee delivery, and potential backers should consider the risks of production delays, specification changes, or unsuccessful fulfillment before committing their money.
