Akko Launches Animo V9 Master Mouse with PAW3955 Sensor and nRF54 SoC

Akko has announced the Animo V9 Master, a new gaming mouse built around PixArt’s latest PAW3955 optical sensor. The company is positioning this model for users who prioritize sensor performance, low weight, and consistent tracking across different play styles.

The PAW3955 sensor brings a range of high-end specifications. According to Akko, the sensor supports a native DPI of up to 40,000, which can be increased to 65,000 DPI through an overclocking mode. It is also rated for a tracking speed of 750 inches per second and 60G acceleration, figures that place it in line with current flagship sensor offerings. These specifications are aimed at ensuring stable tracking during fast movements, particularly in competitive gaming scenarios.

The mouse offers 11 levels of lift-off distance (LOD) adjustment, giving users control over how it responds when lifted off the surface. This can be particularly useful for players who often reposition their mouse during gameplay. With multiple LOD settings available, it’s easier to match the behavior to different mousepads and sensitivity preferences, allowing for a more tailored experience.

The Animo V9 Master is powered by a Nordic nRF54 series SoC. While Akko has not shared full technical details, this controller is typically associated with efficient wireless communication and lower power consumption. This suggests that the mouse is designed to maintain reliable connectivity while also managing battery life effectively.

Akko is also focusing on the physical design. The company describes the Animo V9 Master as ultra-lightweight, though exact figures were not included in the announcement. Lightweight mice are often preferred for reduced strain and quicker movement, especially during long gaming sessions.

With its combination of a new-generation sensor, high DPI range, and modern controller, the Animo V9 Master enters a competitive segment of the gaming mouse market. Akko has yet to confirm pricing and availability, but more details are expected as the product approaches release.
