Akasa has introduced the Euler MX2, a compact fanless PC chassis designed for Intel-based Mini-ITX systems where low noise and a small footprint are priorities. The new case arrived on October 2 in the UK and supports multiple generations of Intel processors with a 35W TDP.
The Euler MX2 uses an anodized aluminum construction and measures just 272.6 × 205 × 92.6 mm. With a total volume of 5.2 liters, it is designed for compact desktop builds that can fit into spaces where a conventional PC case would be too large.
Its fanless design removes the need for case cooling fans, while the aluminum chassis is used as part of the passive cooling approach. Akasa has designed the Euler MX2 around Intel Socket V/H platform Mini-ITX motherboards, giving users a small platform for building low-power desktop systems.
The chassis also includes a built-in 220V DC-DC power supply, helping keep the internal layout compact. Storage support includes two 2.5-inch drive bays for drives up to 9.5 mm thick, providing room for SSDs or other compatible 2.5-inch storage devices.
Connectivity is handled through two front-mounted USB-A ports supporting 5Gbps transfer speeds. On the rear, the Euler MX2 provides two COM ports, making the chassis useful for more than just conventional home and office PCs. These legacy ports can be relevant for industrial, embedded, and specialized computing systems that still rely on serial connectivity.
The 35W CPU limit also gives a clear indication of the type of hardware the Euler MX2 is designed to accommodate. Rather than targeting high-power gaming processors, the chassis is aimed at efficient Intel systems that can deliver desktop functionality while keeping thermal requirements within the limits of passive cooling.
Akasa has priced the Euler MX2 at £195 in the UK and €198 in Europe. At 5.2 liters, the chassis combines a compact Mini-ITX layout, passive cooling, integrated power delivery, and support for two 2.5-inch drives in a relatively small enclosure.
