Pulsar has revealed a new gaming mouse at Tokyo Game Show 2026 that could appeal to players who find most lightweight mice too small. The Pulsar X5 is a large, right-handed ergonomic mouse weighing around 62 grams, combining a pronounced palm shape with a lightweight construction aimed at both competitive gaming and everyday use.
Photos from the show shared by @jakeufps on X give a closer look at the X5’s design. The mouse has a large thumb shelf and a mid-height hump that sits more aggressively than the Keychron M7 8K, while its shape is less pronounced than Logitech’s larger MX Master-style ergonomic mice. The result is a design aimed at supporting the palm without moving into the heavier office-mouse category.

The open-bottom construction is particularly interesting. Rather than relying heavily on holes across the areas users normally touch, Pulsar appears to have removed material from underneath the mouse to reduce weight while keeping the top and sides solid. This could give the X5 a more traditional feel compared with heavily perforated lightweight mice.
Pulsar has also added a third button around the thumb area. The company has not yet explained its function, although it could provide another shortcut for games or desktop applications. The button’s design has also led to speculation that it could be removable or interchangeable, potentially allowing users to adjust its position or configuration. Pulsar has not confirmed this feature, so it should be treated as unconfirmed for now.
The internal hardware remains unknown. Pulsar’s latest high-end mice use the XS-2 Next Generation Sensor paired with a 32-bit ARM MCU, providing specifications such as up to 42,000 DPI, 70G acceleration, 800 IPS tracking, and 8,000Hz polling. It is possible that the X5 will use the same platform, but Pulsar has not announced its specifications yet.
Pricing, dimensions, battery capacity, connectivity options, and the launch date have also not been announced. These details will be important for the X5, particularly because its large ergonomic shape puts it into a part of the gaming mouse market where weight, dimensions, and hand compatibility can make a significant difference.
Pulsar also used Tokyo Game Show 2026 to showcase other products, including a Paper Rex (PRX) co-branded gaming mouse and mousepad. More information about the X5 is expected as Pulsar gets closer to its official launch.
