MOREFINE Launches IPC-200 Fanless Mini PC With Intel N100 and Dual Gigabit Ethernet

MOREFINE has introduced the IPC-200, a new fanless mini PC designed mainly for industrial and embedded applications. The system combines Intel’s low-power N100 processor with passive cooling and a range of connectivity options, including dual Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and VGA outputs, multiple USB ports, and serial interfaces. The barebone version of the MOREFINE IPC-200 is priced at $289.

The mini PC uses Intel’s N100 processor from the Alder Lake family. The chip has four cores and four threads, with a maximum turbo frequency of 3.4GHz. It also has a 6W TDP, allowing MOREFINE to build the IPC-200 around a passive cooling system rather than using a conventional cooling fan.

Instead of active cooling, the chassis uses large heatsink fins to move heat away from the processor. This design is particularly relevant for industrial and embedded systems that may need to operate continuously. Removing a fan also means there is no moving cooling component inside the system, which can be useful in environments where dust and maintenance are concerns.

Connectivity is another major part of the IPC-200. The system has two Gigabit Ethernet ports, giving it two wired network interfaces for applications that require more than one network connection. It also supports Wi-Fi 5 for wireless networking when a wired connection is not required.

For displays, the mini PC provides both HDMI and VGA outputs. The combination allows it to work with a wide range of existing monitors and industrial displays. MOREFINE has also included six USB-A ports, with four supporting USB 3.2 and the remaining two using USB 2.0.

MOREFINE has also retained two serial ports on the IPC-200, which should make the system more suitable for industrial equipment and embedded installations than many consumer-focused mini PCs. A 3.5mm audio jack is included as well.

The $289 price is for the barebone model, so users will need to add the necessary memory and storage separately. MOREFINE is not positioning the IPC-200 as a high-performance desktop or gaming machine. Instead, its low-power Intel N100 processor, fanless chassis, networking options, and selection of legacy and modern I/O are intended for industrial computers, control systems, digital signage, network applications, and other embedded workloads.

The IPC-200 also follows a segment of the mini PC market where compact size and low power consumption are more important than processor performance. Intel’s 6W N100 allows MOREFINE to keep power requirements low while using a passive heatsink-based cooling system.

With dual Ethernet ports, serial connectivity, HDMI/VGA output, six USB-A ports, and Wi-Fi 5, the MOREFINE IPC-200 offers the type of I/O configuration that can be useful when a small computer needs to connect directly to several pieces of equipment. The $289 barebone price puts the system in the industrial mini PC category, where its fanless construction and connectivity are likely to be more important than benchmark performance.
