Rockstar Games‘ latest Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look did more than reveal new details about Jason and Lucia’s journey through Vice City. The lengthy presentation also featured a wide mix of licensed music, giving fans an early taste of the sounds accompanying one of gaming’s biggest releases of 2026.
The GTA 6 Extended Look premiered on August 27 and ran for roughly 26 minutes, combining story sequences, gameplay footage, activities, vehicle action, and a closer look at the world of Leonida. Music played throughout the presentation, with songs spanning several decades and genres. The selection includes tracks associated with rock, electronic, pop, hip-hop, and Latin music, reflecting the varied musical direction Rockstar has used across previous Grand Theft Auto games.
Among the artists whose music appears in the Extended Look are Phil Collins, Depeche Mode, Def Leppard, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Sexyy Red, Kodak Black, and the Bellamy Brothers. The track selection moves between classic hits and modern releases, which could hint at the broad range of music Rockstar plans to bring to GTA VI’s radio stations and soundtrack.
Songs identified from the GTA 6 Extended Look include:
- “Pop Bottles” — Birdman and Lil Wayne
- “Pound Town” — Sexyy Red and Tay Keith
- “Skrilla” — Kodak Black
- “Let Your Love Flow” — The Bellamy Brothers
- “Love Bites” — Def Leppard
- “People Are People” — Depeche Mode
- “But I Think It’s a Dream” — Captain & Tennille
- “Cars and Girls” — Prefab Sprout
- “Off the Grid” — !!! featuring Meah Pace

Music has been a major part of the Grand Theft Auto series since its early days, with Rockstar building extensive in-game radio stations around licensed tracks, DJs, talk shows, and genre-specific programming. GTA Online has also continued to receive new music and radio content years after GTA V’s original launch, including exclusive tracks and collaborations with artists and producers.
The latest GTA VI presentation arrives as Rockstar reveals more about the game’s open world and gameplay systems. The Extended Look showed Jason and Lucia working together during missions while also highlighting activities such as boating, basketball, diving, racing, and parachuting. Reports from the preview also point to a returning six-star Wanted system and changes to how police respond to the player’s appearance and vehicle thefts.

While the songs featured in the Extended Look do not necessarily confirm the complete GTA 6 soundtrack or final radio station lineup, they offer a clearer idea of the musical range Rockstar is using for the game. With Vice City and the wider state of Leonida serving as the setting, the final soundtrack could become another major part of GTA VI’s identity when the game arrives.
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games has not announced a PC release date.
