Thunderobot has opened pre-orders for its new Hunter Blade 60 gaming controller on JD.com, bringing an 8kHz polling rate, TMR joysticks, optical ABXY buttons, and dual-mode triggers to the Chinese market. The controller is listed at 449 yuan, which is approximately $63 USD, while its introductory launch price is 399 yuan, or around $56 USD based on current exchange rates.
The Thunderobot Hunter Blade 60 is designed for players looking for lower input latency across wired and wireless connections. It supports an 8,000Hz polling rate in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes, with Thunderobot claiming an end-to-end response latency of approximately 0.7ms. Bluetooth connectivity is also available, although the polling rate in this mode is limited to 125Hz.
The controller uses double-sided soft rubber grips with a non-slip texture. Its D-pad features an omnidirectional floating design and supports interchangeable button caps. Users can choose between a circular directional pad and a traditional D-pad configuration depending on the type of game.
Thunderobot has equipped the Hunter Blade 60 with six programmable mechanical tactile buttons positioned around the rear and shoulder areas. These buttons can be assigned to shortcuts or macros through the PC driver, allowing players to customize the control layout for different games.
The triggers use a dual-mode design that combines micro-switches with Hall effect sensors. A rear button allows users to change the trigger travel distance, providing a shorter response for games that benefit from quick inputs or a longer travel mode for titles requiring analog control.
The Hunter Blade 60 also uses adjustable-force TMR joysticks with 12-bit resolution and 4,096 levels of control precision. According to Thunderobot, the joystick sensors can reach a 20kHz sampling rate and use a direct bus connection to reduce communication delays. The sticks are also designed to provide a damped mechanical feel during use.
For the face buttons, the ABXY controls use optical microswitches activated by an infrared beam. Thunderobot rates the switches for up to 10 million clicks, while the contactless mechanism is intended to reduce wear-related double-click issues.
The controller also includes an H-bridge-controlled vibration system with motors in the grips and triggers, alongside a six-axis motion-sensing module for supported games. With its combination of high polling rates, TMR stick technology, optical buttons, and programmable controls, the Hunter Blade 60 enters a growing market of gaming controllers focused on faster input response and customizable hardware.
