CHERRY Introduces MW5500 PRO 8K Gaming Mouse With PAW3955 Sensor and Native 8K Polling

CHERRY has introduced its new MW5500 PRO 8K Wireless Gaming Mouse on JD.com, expanding its gaming peripheral lineup with a lightweight design, high-end sensor, and native 8,000Hz polling rate. The new Gaming Mouse combines competitive gaming features with productivity-focused software and long battery life, making it suitable for both gaming and everyday use.

The CHERRY MW5500 PRO 8K is powered by the PixArt PAW3955 optical sensor, offering up to 45,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 60G acceleration. Users can adjust DPI in single-unit increments for fine-tuned sensitivity. The mouse also supports three adjustable lift-off distance levels and sensor angle compensation from -90° to 90°, allowing players to customize tracking behavior based on their preferences.

The mouse supports Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB wired connections, giving users flexibility across multiple devices. In wireless mode, it delivers a native 8,000Hz polling rate, reducing input latency while providing smoother cursor movement compared to conventional 1,000Hz gaming mice.

CHERRY has also included a dedicated Esports Mode, which automatically compensates for cursor movement and helps reduce cursor jitter during fast gameplay. Users can switch between High Performance Mode and Power Saving Mode depending on whether they prefer maximum responsiveness or longer battery life.

The MW5500 PRO 8K weighs only 62 grams and uses a high-density shell that maintains rigidity while keeping the mouse lightweight. According to CHERRY, the internal weight distribution is balanced close to 1:1 from front to back, helping provide a consistent feel during extended gaming sessions.

Its exterior features a skin-friendly coating with a surface roughness of approximately Ra 0.384μm, which is designed to reduce sweat buildup and improve grip comfort.

CHERRY says the mouse has been developed with Asian gamers’ hand shapes in mind. It features an R60 golden back arc, a 2mm side waist, and a 60mm body width, which the company says improves grip by around 15%. The 0.7mm button guide groove helps users position their fingers more accurately while minimizing accidental slips. The mouse is recommended for users with hand lengths below 18cm.

The MW5500 PRO 8K supports fast charging using technology similar to modern smartphones. A 5-minute charge delivers up to 12 hours of use, while a full recharge takes approximately 24 minutes. In Bluetooth mode, the battery can last for up to 460 hours on a single charge.

The mouse also supports both web-based and local software drivers. Through CHERRY Fusion, users can access additional features such as cross-device control, wireless screen extension, screen mirroring, and two-way file transfer, making the mouse useful beyond gaming.
