Razer has announced the Soma Chroma, a new wireless RGB gaming chair that combines the company’s Chroma RGB ecosystem with ergonomic features designed for long gaming sessions. The launch marks Razer’s entry into the RGB gaming chair market and introduces the first model in a new lineup of immersive gaming furniture.

The Soma Chroma is designed to extend RGB synchronization beyond traditional gaming peripherals. Instead of functioning solely as seating, the chair integrates reactive lighting that responds to gameplay in real time. Through Razer Chroma RGB, the chair can synchronize lighting effects with more than 300 supported games, allowing colors and effects to change based on on-screen events. Users can further customize the lighting experience through Razer Synapse, which offers access to 16.8 million colors and multiple preset lighting modes.

According to Razer, the goal behind the Soma Chroma is to make the gaming chair an active part of the battlestation experience. The company believes gamers increasingly view their setups as a reflection of their personal style, creating demand for furniture that integrates with existing RGB ecosystems rather than remaining separate from them.

Alongside its lighting system, the chair focuses on comfort for extended use. It features a built-in ergonomic lumbar arch designed to support the lower back and encourage a natural sitting position. Razer has also equipped the chair with a dual-density cold-cured foam seat cushion that balances support and comfort during long gaming, streaming, or work sessions.

The backrest can recline up to 155 degrees, allowing users to switch between an upright position for competitive gaming and a more relaxed posture for watching videos or taking breaks. Razer says the chair’s cushioning and ergonomic design are intended to reduce fatigue during prolonged periods of sitting.
Power is delivered through a single USB Type-C connection, helping reduce cable clutter around the desk. The chair can draw power from either a wall outlet or a compatible power bank. A built-in control panel provides quick access to lighting controls, brightness adjustments, and connectivity settings. Users can connect through a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle for PC use or Bluetooth through the Razer Furniture App on mobile devices.

For durability, the Soma Chroma uses a reinforced steel frame paired with a 5-star steel wheelbase. The construction is designed to provide stability and support through years of daily use.
