VGN Announces Neon 75 Air Magnetic Switch Keyboard with 8K Polling Rate

VGN has introduced its new Neon 75 Air magnetic switch keyboard, expanding its gaming peripherals lineup with a focus on compact form factor and high-performance input technology. The keyboard is built around a 75% layout, offering a balance between space-saving design and functional key access, making it suitable for both gaming setups and productivity environments where desk space is limited.

The design includes original CHERRY high-profile PC keycaps with a matte coating, paired with a neon-style ambient light strip that runs along the keyboard for subtle lighting effects. It is available in three color options, including white, blue, and green, giving users some flexibility in matching their setup aesthetics. Depending on the configuration, the Neon 75 Air is offered in a single-mode wired version as well as a tri-mode version that supports USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity.

The keyboard uses Tenba Air magnetic switches, targeting fast response times and precise actuation control. It supports an 8,000Hz polling rate and a 128kHz channel scan rate, aimed at reducing input delay during fast-paced gameplay. VGN also highlights a claimed 0.1ms latency and 0.005mm Rapid Trigger precision, positioning the keyboard toward competitive gaming scenarios where input timing is critical.

The internal structure has been designed with a focus on typing feel and acoustics. It uses a gasket-mounted design combined with an integrated anodized aluminum alloy positioning plate. A multi-layer sound-dampening system is also included to reduce hollow sounds and improve keystroke consistency. The exact internal layering varies depending on the model version.

The tri-mode version is equipped with an 8,000mAh battery, intended to support extended wireless usage without frequent recharging. On the back, the keyboard includes a two-stage kickstand system to allow users to adjust typing angles based on preference.

Key features include:

  • 75% compact layout for space-efficient setups
  • Tenba Air magnetic switches for fast actuation response
  • 8,000Hz polling rate for reduced input latency
  • 128kHz channel scan rate for stable signal processing
  • Claimed 0.1ms latency with 0.005mm Rapid Trigger precision
  • Single-mode wired and tri-mode wireless connectivity options
  • USB-C, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth support (tri-mode version)
  • 8,000mAh battery in wireless variant
  • Gasket-mounted structure with aluminum alloy positioning plate
  • Multi-layer sound-dampening internal design
  • CHERRY high-profile matte keycaps with neon ambient light strip
  • Available in white, blue, and green color options

With its combination of high polling performance, magnetic switch technology, and multiple connectivity modes, the keyboard is positioned as a competitive entry in the compact gaming keyboard market, targeting users who prioritize speed, responsiveness, and flexible connectivity in a smaller layout.
