Epomaker Showcases HE65 V2 TMR 65% Gaming Keyboard With Magnetic Switches

Epomaker has introduced its upcoming HE65 V2 TMR gaming keyboard during a recent YouTube livestream, expanding its growing lineup of magnetic switch keyboards. The new model moves away from traditional Hall effect sensing and instead uses tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) technology, which is designed to offer improved efficiency while keeping the same core benefits, such as low-latency input, adjustable actuation, and analog-style control. The launch positions the HE65 V2 as a compact option aimed at gamers who prefer a smaller form factor without losing key functionality.

The HE65 V2 TMR adopts a 65% layout, removing the function row, navigation cluster, and numpad to reduce desk space usage. However, Epomaker has retained several usability-focused elements, including a dedicated arrow key cluster, a slim vertical navigation column, and a programmable rotary knob placed near the main typing area. This combination gives the keyboard a balance between compact design and practical control options for gaming and daily use.

The keyboard will be available in two color variants, black and white. The black model features darker, more opaque keycaps that still allow RGB lighting to pass through, while the white version comes with fully translucent keycaps with UV-printed legends for a cleaner illuminated look. Both versions use Cherry profile keycaps and include south-facing per-key RGB lighting for improved lighting diffusion and customization.

Epomaker has also focused on usability features in the chassis design. The keyboard uses a plastic top and bottom case, which helps keep the weight manageable while adding features such as two-stage adjustable feet for typing-angle customization and built-in storage for the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and USB-C wired mode. Powering the wireless setup is a built-in 4,000 mAh battery, designed to support extended usage sessions.

The HE65 V2 TMR comes equipped with Epomaker Creamy Jade Magnetic switches, offering 3.5 mm total travel, a 30 gf initial actuation force, and a 55 gf bottom-out force. These N-pole magnetic switches are designed for smooth input response and are compatible with similar magnetic switch ecosystems. The switch construction includes a POM stem, PC top housing, and PA66 bottom housing for consistent key feel and durability.

Key highlights of the Epomaker HE65 V2 TMR include:

  • 65% compact layout with arrow keys and navigation column
  • New TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) sensing technology
  • Adjustable actuation and low-latency magnetic switch input
  • Tri-mode connectivity: Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and USB-C
  • 4,000 mAh built-in battery for long wireless sessions
  • RGB backlighting with south-facing LEDs
  • Two color options: black and fully translucent white
  • Programmable rotary knob for added control

At the moment, Epomaker has not confirmed official pricing or release details. However, the livestream presentation suggests that the HE65 V2 TMR is positioned as a more accessible entry point to TMR-based keyboards, continuing the company’s focus on compact, feature-rich gaming peripherals.
