HP Inc. has introduced the HyperX OMEN 16 VALORANT Limited Edition, a new gaming laptop developed in partnership with Riot Games. The new release continues the collaboration between the two companies, bringing together gaming-focused hardware and a design inspired by one of the most played tactical shooters in the esports market.
The launch builds on previous collaboration projects between HP and Riot Games, including the OMEN 35L VALORANT Limited Edition desktop and the OMEN 16 League of Legends Limited Edition laptop. With the HyperX OMEN 16 VALORANT Limited Edition, HP is targeting gamers who want a system designed around competitive gameplay while also reflecting the visual identity of VALORANT.
The laptop combines themed aesthetics with high-end hardware aimed at demanding gaming workloads. HP says the system was designed for players who value quick response times, customization options, and software-based performance tuning alongside recognizable elements from the VALORANT universe.
According to HP, the laptop includes several visual details and hidden references that fans of the game may notice. The company positions the device as more than a hardware refresh, focusing on creating a product that connects with the game’s community and style.
“We wanted this laptop to feel like an extension of the VALORANT experience, with hidden touches that fans will instantly recognize from the game,” said Josephine Tan, Senior Vice President and Division President of Personal Systems Gaming Solutions at HP Inc.
“Working closely with Riot Games, we combined high-performance hardware with aesthetics inspired by the VALORANT universe to create a more immersive experience for players.”
On the hardware side, HP is offering configurations equipped with up to AMD’s latest Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor. The chip is expected to appeal to enthusiasts and competitive gamers looking for strong gaming performance and multitasking capabilities. Graphics duties can be handled by up to NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 12GB of GDDR7 memory.
The company is also integrating its HyperX HyperAction keyboard technology into the system. HP claims the keyboard supports an 8K high polling rate designed to improve responsiveness during gameplay, a feature that may interest players competing in fast-paced multiplayer titles where input speed plays an important role.
Display specifications also focus heavily on competitive gaming needs. The HyperX OMEN 16 VALORANT Limited Edition offers display configurations with up to 2.5K resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 3ms response time. These specifications are aimed at delivering smoother visuals and reduced motion blur during high-speed gameplay scenarios.
HP is additionally relying on software optimization to help improve the gaming experience. The company’s OMEN AI optimization platform is included with the laptop, allowing users to apply one-click performance tuning. The software automatically adjusts hardware, system, and in-game settings depending on the title being played, including support for VALORANT.
Riot Games also highlighted the design philosophy behind the collaboration, emphasizing the connection between gameplay performance and visual identity.
