Ubisoft Reportedly Targets 2027 Release for Assassin’s Creed Hexe, Unity-Style Parkour May Return

New details surrounding Assassin’s Creed Hexe continue to surface online despite the game remaining largely under wraps since its original announcement. While Ubisoft has yet to reveal gameplay footage or provide a launch window, recent reports suggest the company may be planning a 2027 release for the next major Assassin’s Creed entry.

The latest information comes from Rogue I Tx on X, who claims Ubisoft is internally targeting a 2027 launch date for Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Although the company has not confirmed the report, the timeline would fit Ubisoft’s current strategy of spacing out large franchise releases while continuing support for existing titles across multiple platforms.

The rumor also repeats earlier claims that the game will feature a female protagonist. Previous leaks had already hinted at this direction, along with reports that a returning character from older Assassin’s Creed games may appear in some capacity. Ubisoft has not commented on either detail so far.

A recently shared leak also claims that Assassin’s Creed Hexe may bring back the parkour system first seen in Assassin’s Creed Unity. That movement style became a fan favorite because of its smoother climbing animations and faster traversal across detailed urban environments. If the report turns out to be accurate, Hexe could move away from the heavier gameplay feel of the newer RPG-era titles and lean toward a more agile movement system.

Combat is also expected to receive changes. Earlier rumors suggested Ubisoft has redesigned the game’s combat system to feel more aggressive and impactful. Combined with Hexe’s darker setting, the game could offer a different tone compared to previous entries in the franchise.

The leak also suggests that Far Cry 7 could launch during a similar timeframe. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot previously stated that several Far Cry projects are in development, although Ubisoft has yet to officially reveal Far Cry 7.

For now, Ubisoft has only shared a brief teaser for Assassin’s Creed Hexe, leaving many questions unanswered. Until official information is revealed, fans will likely continue relying on leaks and insider reports as anticipation for the project continues to build.
