NuPhy has announced a new addition to its Berry profile keycap lineup with the launch of the Alchemical Manual keycap set. The release introduces a more artistic and unconventional design compared to the company’s previous low-profile keycap collections, while continuing to target mechanical keyboard users looking for customization options for compact and slim keyboard builds.
The Alchemical Manual set becomes the seventh official release in NuPhy’s Berry profile family. Earlier sets in the lineup include Beat Boy, Godzilla, Trackday, Oblivion, BoW/WoB, and Peach Blossom. The new set is currently available through NuPhy’s online store at a retail price of $59.95.

NuPhy includes 124 keys in the package, allowing compatibility with keyboards ranging from 60% layouts up to full-size 100% models. Users planning to install the set on ISO-layout keyboards may want to confirm compatibility before purchase, as the package does not include an ISO Enter key.
The Berry profile itself was designed by NuPhy as a low-profile alternative inspired by the popular Cherry profile widely used in enthusiast mechanical keyboards. The company aims to deliver a familiar typing feel while maintaining the slimmer dimensions associated with low-profile boards.

Like previous Berry releases, the Alchemical Manual set uses PBT plastic construction paired with dye-sublimated legends. This manufacturing process is commonly favored for its resistance to fading and wear over extended use. The keycaps feature a handwritten-inspired font style combined with symbols and visual elements influenced by classical alchemy and old manuscript illustrations.
Most of the keycaps use an off-white base color, while accent and modifier keys introduce earthy shades of green, blue, orange, red, and brown. NuPhy also includes several alternative colored keycaps for customization, along with rounded-bottom variants intended for keyboards such as the company’s Node series.

The keycaps use MX stems and are compatible with low-profile switches following MX spacing standards. This includes support for Gateron low-profile switches and Kailh Choc V2 switches. Keyboards using standard Choc spacing are not supported by the set.
Low-profile mechanical keyboards have continued gaining traction among both enthusiasts and gamers due to their slimmer form factor and portability. With the Alchemical Manual release, NuPhy is expanding the design variety available in the segment, offering a theme that differs from the cleaner or gaming-focused styles commonly seen in the current keyboard accessory market.
