Keychron has officially introduced the Q11 Ultra, an updated version of its split mechanical keyboard that brings wireless connectivity, improved hardware, and new switch options to the company’s ergonomic lineup. While Keychron has refreshed several keyboards over the past few months with upgraded firmware and switch revisions, the Q11 Ultra receives a much larger upgrade compared to its predecessor.

The original Q11 was already different from the rest of Keychron’s lineup due to its split ergonomic layout, but it lacked wireless functionality. With the Q11 Ultra, Keychron has addressed that limitation by adding Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless support, alongside traditional wired USB-C connectivity. More importantly, the two halves of the keyboard can now communicate wirelessly, eliminating the cable previously required between them.

According to Keychron, the Q11 Ultra can deliver up to 300 hours of battery life through its dual-battery setup. The keyboard also supports polling rates of up to 8,000 Hz when connected through either 2.4 GHz wireless or USB-C wired mode. Although such high polling rates are generally associated with gaming peripherals, Keychron has included the feature as part of the keyboard’s premium feature set.

The Q11 Ultra uses a 75% split layout while maintaining a traditional row-staggered key arrangement. This allows users transitioning from standard mechanical keyboards to adapt more easily to the ergonomic split design. In addition to the main key layout, the keyboard includes a five-key macro column on the far left side and two programmable rotary knobs, one positioned on each half of the keyboard.
The keyboard chassis is built from CNC-machined aluminum with an integrated top plate design. Keychron ships the Q11 Ultra with double-shot PBT keycaps using its KSA profile. The keyboard is currently available in a black finish with blue accent keycaps.

Buyers can choose among three switch options: Keychron Silk POM Red linear switches, Brown tactile switches, and Banana tactile switches. Since the keyboard uses a hot-swappable PCB, users can also replace the stock switches with compatible alternatives without soldering.

Additional features include south-facing per-key RGB lighting and full customization support through the Keychron Launcher software. Users can remap keys, create macros, customize lighting effects, and configure the programmable knobs directly within the software.
The Keychron Q11 Ultra is now available through Keychron’s online store at a retail price of $239.99.
