Xiaomi Gaming Mouse 2 Teased With New PixArt Sensor; Mouse X1 Brings 8000Hz Polling and 65g Build

Xiaomi has shared an early look at its upcoming Gaming Mouse 2, confirming plans to expand its gaming accessory lineup with a new high-performance model. The company revealed that the mouse will feature a next-generation PixArt flagship sensor, along with a high-end control system and tuning aimed at competitive gaming use. While Xiaomi has not confirmed the exact sensor model yet, the positioning suggests it will compete with current top-tier offerings in the segment.

The teaser image highlights a refined design, though Xiaomi has not gone into detail regarding build materials, button configuration, or wireless capabilities. Based on the company’s recent releases, the focus is likely to remain on consistent tracking performance, low latency, and a stable connection suited for fast-paced gaming scenarios.

Alongside the Gaming Mouse 2, Xiaomi also outlined key details about the Mouse X1, which is scheduled to launch in September 2024. The Mouse X1 takes a different approach, focusing on a lightweight structure and responsive performance. Weighing around 65 grams, it is designed to reduce fatigue during long gaming sessions while maintaining control.

The Mouse X1 supports an 8000Hz polling rate, enabling faster communication between the mouse and the system. This helps reduce input delay, which can be beneficial in competitive titles where quick reactions matter. It is equipped with the PixArt PAW3395 sensor, a widely adopted option recognized for consistent tracking performance and efficiency across a wide range of DPI settings.

Xiaomi has also focused on ergonomics, mentioning a curved back design intended to provide a comfortable grip. The Mouse X1 will be offered in two color options—white mist and black ink—and includes a built-in 530mAh battery, aiming to balance performance with battery life.

With the Gaming Mouse 2 still in the teaser stage, more specifications are expected in the coming weeks. Xiaomi’s continued push into gaming peripherals indicates a broader strategy to build a more complete ecosystem for PC gamers.
