MSI has added a new option to its gaming peripheral lineup with the launch of the VERSA 300 Wireless 8K. The mouse is now listed on the company’s official website and marks MSI’s entry into the growing segment of high polling rate wireless mice, offering up to 8,000Hz input reporting for reduced latency in competitive scenarios.
The VERSA 300 Wireless 8K is built around the PixArt PAW3395 optical sensor, a component commonly found in performance-focused gaming mice. It is designed to deliver accurate tracking across a wide range of DPI settings while maintaining power efficiency. MSI pairs the sensor with switches from Omron rated for up to 60 million clicks, targeting long-term durability under heavy use.

Weighing 66 grams, the mouse fits within the lightweight category and uses a symmetrical shape that supports multiple grip styles, including palm, claw, and fingertip. The design is intended to suit a wide range of users, with diamond-patterned anti-slip grips on the sides to improve handling during extended sessions.
Connectivity is handled through a tri-mode setup, allowing users to switch between USB-C wired operation, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.3. MSI rates the battery life at up to 196 hours, though real-world usage will vary depending on polling rate, lighting, and connection mode.

Another feature included with the VERSA 300 Wireless 8K is support for MSI PortalX, a browser-based configuration platform that enables users to adjust settings without installing dedicated software. This approach aligns with a broader shift toward lightweight, platform-independent tools for peripheral management.
With this release, MSI is expanding its presence in the gaming mouse market, particularly in the segment focused on high polling rate performance. Details on pricing and availability have not been confirmed at this time.
