Pearl Abyss has released a new update for Crimson Desert, introducing official support for Intel Arc GPUs along with Intel XeSS 3.0 and its Frame Generation feature. The update arrives a few weeks after launch, following ongoing concerns about hardware compatibility on PC.
At launch, Crimson Desert did not support Intel Arc graphics cards, so users with those GPUs could not run the game. The issue quickly gained attention within the community, especially after early recommendations urged players to seek refunds rather than wait for a fix. In response to the feedback, Intel and Pearl Abyss began working together to address the lack of support.

Initial compatibility started appearing alongside a recent Intel Arc driver update, allowing the game to launch on supported hardware. While this made the game accessible, players reported inconsistent performance, visual glitches, and occasional stability issues. The latest Patch 1.03.00 focuses on resolving many of these problems while improving overall optimization.

The update includes several fixes across gameplay systems, interface elements, and rendering performance. Within the graphics settings, players can now enable XeSS 3.0 and its Frame Generation option, which uses AI-based upscaling to improve frame rates while maintaining image quality. This addition brings feature parity closer to other GPU platforms that already offer similar technologies.
Support for AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 has also been added, helping reduce input latency during gameplay. While Intel Arc support is now officially available, further improvements are expected as Pearl Abyss continues refining performance through upcoming updates.
