AYANEO has introduced a themed version of its compact retro handheld, the AYANEO Pocket AIR Mini × B.Duck Limited Edition. The new model keeps the same hardware and layout as the original device while adding a design inspired by the well-known duck character. The company says the handheld is aimed at players who enjoy classic games and prefer a smaller gaming device that is easy to carry.

The Pocket AIR Mini represents AYANEO’s entry-level handheld category. While the company is known for high-end portable gaming systems, this model focuses on a compact form factor and a more accessible price range. Despite the smaller size, the device still follows the design approach used in the company’s premium handheld lineup.
The B.Duck Limited Edition introduces a bright yellow theme with character graphics integrated into the device body. The design uses B.Duck’s signature color palette along with decorative details placed around the handheld shell and interface elements. With these changes, AYANEO aims to offer a version of the Pocket AIR Mini that also works as a collectible item for fans of the character.

In terms of hardware, the Pocket AIR Mini is built around a 4.2-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This screen format is commonly preferred for retro gaming because it closely matches the display shape used by many classic consoles. The display is designed to deliver clear visuals for older game libraries that were originally created for similar screen formats.
Powering the handheld is the MediaTek Helio G90T processor, an octa-core chip designed for mobile gaming devices. The processor allows the handheld to run Android-based applications and a wide range of emulators used for retro gaming platforms. According to AYANEO, the processor provides stable performance for many classic titles while maintaining reasonable power consumption.

For controls, the Pocket AIR Mini includes Hall-effect joysticks and Hall triggers, which are designed to improve durability and accuracy compared to traditional analog components. These controls are intended to maintain consistent input over long-term use, which can be important for games that rely on precise movement or timing.
The handheld also features an active cooling system with a built-in fan. Cooling is used to keep internal temperatures stable during longer gameplay sessions. This approach helps the processor maintain performance when running emulators or Android games that place higher demands on the hardware.

Battery capacity is listed at 4500mAh, allowing the handheld to run for extended play sessions depending on the software being used. Retro games typically require less processing power than modern mobile titles, which may help the device achieve longer battery life when running older game libraries.
The Pocket AIR Mini runs on AYANEO’s customized Android software environment. The interface includes system tools, performance settings, and controller configuration features designed for handheld gaming. Users can also install applications from the Android ecosystem, including emulators and game platforms.

AYANEO plans to present the Pocket AIR Mini × B.Duck Limited Edition during a product sharing livestream hosted by the company’s CEO, Arthur Zhang, also known in the community as Uncle Tail. The event is scheduled for March 6 at 11:30 PM PST, where the company will provide more information about the device and its release plans.
With its compact size, retro-focused display, and themed design, the Pocket AIR Mini × B.Duck Limited Edition adds a new option to AYANEO’s growing handheld lineup while maintaining the core hardware used in the standard model.
