Dareu has expanded its keyboard lineup with the launch of the A68, an aluminum-cased magnetic keyboard designed with a strong focus on water and spill resistance. The company states that the keyboard uses an IP68-rated waterproof inner shell combined with nano-level waterproof treatment on the PCB. This design allows the keyboard to resist common liquid spills such as coffee and cola, while surface dirt and debris can be rinsed away with water, provided the connectors are kept dry.
The Dareu A68 follows a racing and mecha-inspired design theme, using a black, red, and silver color combination. The rear of the keyboard features decorative inscriptions along with a metal grille element, adding to its industrial appearance. According to Dareu, the internal waterproof structure helps protect the electronics from liquid ingress and fine particles, including cigarette ash, making it suitable for long-term daily use in demanding environments.
From a hardware perspective, the A68 features a compact 68-key layout with overall dimensions of 318 × 107 × 39 mm. The keyboard is equipped with transparent ice-blade magnetic switches that offer a 35gf actuation force and a total travel distance of 3.5 mm. The magnetic switch system supports precise real-time adjustment, with Dareu claiming response accuracy down to 0.01 mm, allowing users to fine-tune key behavior based on their preferences.
In terms of performance, the Dareu A68 supports an 8kHz polling rate and delivers a reported latency of 0.01 ms. These specifications are aimed at users who prioritize fast input response and consistent performance. With its aluminum construction, sealed waterproof design, and magnetic switch technology, the Dareu A68 targets users looking for a compact keyboard that balances durability with high-speed input capabilities.
